30 Bananas a Day!

Why do other people always try to discourage you. I know they mean well but common. I did a fruit run this morning and brought my cousin along. She is leaning towards a Fruitarian lifestyle and was amazed at how much fruit I buy. My sister in law called me over the phone and said " Today, on the news they said that it is unhealthy to eat large amounts of fruit and you should only have two pieces of fruit a day before 2:00pm, and fruit has to much sugar." " I know you know what's right for you but you don't have to be defensive." Yes, this is a personal ATTACK on FRUIT. I have to get defensive. Is this their only argument, " THERE IS TOO MUCH SUGAR IN FRUIT." so I said to her what about people drinking excessive amounts of alcohol? her response " Oh I'm not talking about alcohol right now."

This is what I have learned during this process. Never let any one discourage you, do what is right for yourself and your body. I love her dearly and I hope she comes around and realizes that Fruit does your body good.

You're doing good, just have to realize she is having a problem.  That is why she says it. Poor thing.  Maybe she'll get off the phone, then go out and get some exercise.  At least she doesn't drink! 

It's so hard to believe that there are people out there that condemn fruit!  I mean come on!!!  Surely they can come up with something better than that to worry about.  I guess it comes from feeling insecure about their own diet and needing to prove you wrong, maybe on some level.  If they can prove you wrong, then what they are eating must be AO-K?. I've heard the sugar line too and have just responded with, "well, only refined sugar is bad, fruit with sugar, vitamins, water and fiber is the best thing for you" and they can believe me or not.

It's really hard to watch others close to you suffer healthwise but they have to be on their own journey and you will be their shining example.
