So how much do you guys exercise?
I swear I have one of the world's slowest metabolisms, yet my appetite is huge for someone so lazy.
I've been vegan for 4 years now, and 2 of those years as HCLF whole foods vegan. But even using the HCLF vegan diet (which is the most-filling diet around), I have such a massive appetite that it's really hard to keep weight down.
I dream of the magical day I can eat until satisfied and not gain any weight.
Anyone else finally find the magical balance between exercise and food quantity?
So basically your advice is "Give up" on being athletic-looking, instead of skinny fat.
I just haven't found that magical balance between how hungry I am and how much I exercise. It's not like I'm getting obese, I seem to stay around BMI 22.0, but I'm definitely skinny fat. The only time I got lower (in body weight and body fat) was thru calorie-restriction and starvation, but we all know that isn't a long-term solution.
I think anyone can be "normal" range BMI (or "acceptable" range bodyfat) if they eat HCLF whole foods, even without exercise. But to get further than that, to push bodyfat lower, that's where there's some sort of balance between hunger (calorie intake) and exercise.
I exercise as much as possible, always doing things I love. Walking/hiking peacefully in a nice place, rock climbing, surfing, snowboarding, running or cycling (when I feel like it), and calisthenics. I feel good doing all of these sports and exercises and find a perfect balance rotating though out them. I can't imagine an inactive life without fitness/sports.
