I am always interested in other folk's smoothies. Please share yours:
This is one of my favorite:
6 bananas
2 cups spinach
1 cup kale
10 sprigs cilantro
1 cup blue berries
3 cups pure water (more or less according to desired thickness)
blend and conquer!

Permalink Reply by Esperanza Vite - The Raw Monkey on June 24, 2012 at 4:10am I have two of my favorites on my youtbe channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheRawMonkey1?feature=mhee They are Passion Fruit Power Smoothie and Sweet Summer Smoothie.
I'm also really into green smoothies, especially in winter. Apple, date, and parsley is one of my faves - it's so good!
Banana, pear, and date is also really delicious :)

Permalink Reply by Kimberry on June 24, 2012 at 5:20am Banana/papaya, banana/berry, banana/cherry, you get the idea. :)
Blend frozen mango into mango sherbert, yummm.
Mango/orange/small amount of banana, have yet to try orange/frozen pineapple but it sounds good (that one courtesy of Megan Elizabeth :)).
I haven't done many green smoothies, I think I'll try it today. :)
Since it's best to have fruit during the day and greens at night (separate), it's obviously not the best food combining. But if you're going to do it anyway, would at night be ideal?
Permalink Reply by Tim R. on June 24, 2012 at 10:38am Banana goes so well with so many fruits! The banana is a large component of my diet.
From what Ive heard (runningraw.com , Tim VanOrden) that if your eating the actual fruit and greens its best to separate at different times, but if there blended together, it helps with digestion which is the actual reason to separate in the first place. I'm sure there are other pros and cons but greens for me are hard to just sit and munch down... I have had different versions of fruit/greens smoothies at all different times usually once a day, and have no adverse issues, however I am 4 months in and still have much to learn.
