I am on day two of this diet and know I am not getting the amount of calories I need. Anyways, my stomach has been hurting and I've notice a lot more blackheads on my problem area of my chin. Does acne get worse before it gets better because I do not know if I can deal with that.

Permalink Reply by amy siwik on August 11, 2012 at 3:50am I have only been on the diet for two days. I last had cooked food two days ago. Water intake it at least 80 oz. My pee is clear and I am peeing a lot. I exercise everyday at least 4 miles a day of walking. I get 8 to 9 hours of sleep, going to bed around 11pm waking up around 9am. I get a decent amount of sunshine.
My past health history is bad, I started using drugs and alcohol early on. In 9th grade I started drinking liquor heavily and did not stop till about two years ago. I also was on anti depressants and something to counter act with that along side adderall. I also abused pain killer for almost 2 years. have been off of those medications for about almost two years and do not drink alcohol anymore. I picked up a nasty habit of smoking about 4 cigarettes a day because I felt I needed some sort of vice since I have restricting my diet for a year and a half. I know it is awful and does not help, but I am addicted. I have had terrible digestion for about a year and a half, being constipated for months. I was on antibiotics for 5 months for acne, and just got off of it 3 weeks ago. I also take birth control to try to help my acne. I went to a naturopath and she said I have a candida overgrowth and put me on a diet for 3 weeks. It helped just a little bit, but not enough. I have really bad anxiety over my digestion and breakouts, and depression is on the verge of settling in.
This is the second day I woke up with such a bad stomach ache that I think I am going to eat some cooked food, because I have to be able to function through out my day.
Permalink Reply by Ana on August 11, 2012 at 2:07am Only two days on the program isn't going to make a significant dent in your health or appearance. If you're noticing acne symptoms, they would have to have been in place far longer than two days ago.
But just a question: How do you suppose that acne actually clears itself? Sadly, the pores have to empty it out of your skin. That means you will see the evidence through pimples, bumps, etc. So regardless of what "diet" you're on, if you have an acne condition, it's got to come out through the pores. That's just the way it is. The only remedy is to hunker down, let the acne clear itself, and then maintain a healthy way of life, so it doesn't return. ♥
Permalink Reply by David Costa on August 11, 2012 at 4:40am Get some sunlight on the acne areas, don't do what i did and let sunburn creep up on you. Even though I got burned it nuked the acne seemingly, a few days later after being out of the sun trying to heal from the slight burn some new acne came back.
This was on my upper back, I'm almost 2 months into HCRV with a little cooked food here and there, and the acne has been diminishing slowly.
Don't cheat yourself and use a tanning bed or anything, don't even use sunscreen, just go out in the sun without it and limit the exposure time, put a hat and light clothing on when you have had enough. Avoid midday, like avoid 11:00 to 14:00, sun is too intense, unless it's cloudy, then go for it.
Permalink Reply by David Costa on August 11, 2012 at 4:49am O yea, and bicycles are a ridiculous amount of fun and go well with this lifestyle. Watch Durianriders vids and use his suggestions on bikes. Probably the best way to shred fat and get your cardiovascular system to athlete standards. Just keep constantly trying to learn things as you go, get a well fit road bike and take advice from people getting the results you want, from lots of people, not just one, investigate the person thoroughly.
