Today is day 6 of my fruitanarian diet. i say this because i have not added greens to my diet. Having met a great friend in Singapore who is a LFRV, we went shopping at a wholesale market for fruits. I'm assuming sweet fruits would remove the cravings for cooked food and he is a great friend who supports and encourages me even thou out of the 6 days, i defaulted 3meals of having cooked food.
He says that i don't eat enough but the reason is because i feel full already after consuming for example 2 indonesian mangoes and almost one full spain melon. i feel bloated and full.
My question here is should i stop? because i believe many recommend to have at least 3000 calories if i'm below that, should i continue to eat or should i stop?
Would love to hear some advice if you lovely people may.
thanks a lot!
PS: just saw Forks over knives, it's great how plant based diets help people reverse their illnesses. i cannot wait to lose more fat, have healthier skin and a healthier future.
God bless

Permalink Reply by Banana Dude on November 6, 2011 at 12:19am I'm a beginner, but from the information I have read/seen go for higher calorie foods like bananas and dates, even combined in a smoothie, otherwise you'll be eating all day! Try day for a bit and see how you go, medjool dates are absolutely delicious!

Permalink Reply by Ezekiel Kok on November 6, 2011 at 12:23am hey Brett, thanks for replying so quickly. i bought a box of bananas and am waiting for them to ripen. its about 20 bunches (yes, my first time having so many laid on the table).
the medjool dates are my favourite as well.
unfortunately 900g of this costs me 30$ which i feel is overpriced here in Singapore.
I was hoping some kind soul would send me some from the states :)
Permalink Reply by Banana Dude on November 6, 2011 at 12:29am LOL Yeah I just bought a box of green bananas, they have been really expensive over here (we had a cyclone earlier this year that wiped out 80% of our crops).I think there is a list of higher calorie fruits on 30BAD somewhere.I have put all mine in brown paper shopping bags with an apple(or tomato) they release ethylene which helps them ripen faster, give that a shot so they dont all ripen at once.I just bought 5kg of organic dates for $100, that is about 40 cents each, still cheaper than fast food, I think nothing of buying a soda from the servo for $3, amazing how we can think healthy food is expensive, I just keep telling myself I'm worth it ;)
Good luck

Permalink Reply by Many Many Fruits on November 7, 2011 at 12:34pm Hey Ezekiel, where do you get your medjool dates? I bought mine at $22++ for 0.9kg, at IMM Giant! It can be cheaper than that if you buy the small packages.
I was hoping I could go Pasir Panjang Wholesale soon, but still wondering about the issue of transporting fruits back home -_-

Permalink Reply by Banana Dude on November 6, 2011 at 1:04am sorry to butt in cecilie, I installed CRON-O-Meter the other night, I said I wanted to lose 1kg a week, I added 20 bananas a day and 10 days, and my current exercise and it nearly exploded (well the energy/carb bars turnde red) should this be ignored?
Brett
Brett,
You need to adjust the targets.
The recommended amounts are all out of whack for us following 80-10-10.
For me I've found the online version is actually easier - all you have to do is click on the item (say Energy), and then adjust the amount.
So for example if you go by Cecilie's recommendation, you would put in 3500 for Energy.
