since going 811 I have started to get massive teeth problems.
I know people say "do not blame 811", but I think it is to blame in countries like Denmark, where it is so hard to get quality and totally ripe fruits.
I have some cavitites I can feel with my tongue and they get bigger and bigger.
My teeth have now also turned complety yellow, it is so ugly and they have some ugly colours on them.
I do not use toothpaste, I brush 2 times a day with water, rinse after meals and I always get more than the calcium I need, according to cronometer.
But I am now thinking if I should just go to the dentist?
It does not seem to improve and I do not want to risk doing anymore damage, so maybe I should just get those fillings?
what are your thougths on this?
Sometimes even fruit can stain teeth, for example - blueberries.
Not so much the ones we buy here in US in a supermarket, but the ones I was picking wild in Russia were really staining teeth (maybe your organic blueberries are contributing to your teeth staining?)
I am quite sure the staining on your teeth will go away after a while.
Be careful with tomatoes. In general I feel that tomatoes are more safe than oranges (if not unripe and acid), but just pay attention to how your teeth feel when you eat different foods and when do you feel discomfort. Once you get some understanding of it - avoid these foods. Avoid anything that is causing discomfort to your teeth or seems to be burning tongue or lips.
Just don't sip datorade for hours. Try to limit the duration of your meals for now. Don't worry - you are not going to have to do it forever. Do what it takes to help your teeth heal.
I used to be a smoker with super nasty yellow teeth and I had some major cavities from the acidic properties in the food I used to eat. My teeth also felt very weak and flimsy to the point it was painful. Mind you I did not brush my teeth nor do I now because I can't afford a toothbrush. What I did to fix that? I started eating apples everyday.
After doing so I noticed that my teeth have become whiter and stronger and that the pain from the cavities slowly diminished and is now non-existent. Apples are a natural bleaching agent as well as nature's toothbrush. If you have teeth issues try eating some apples, it might help, specially if you follow this diet so rigorously. In fact, apples are my meal of the day. :)
Where this info came from: Me not using a toothbrush for about 2-3 months now and using apples in their stead.
I had problems with my teeth as far as sensitivity and some cavities when I started to eat so much fruit. Taking more meticulous care of them (always rinse and/or brush after eating) has worked very well.
First thing celebs do is drop 50k on a hollywood smile. I can't thing of many celebs that havent bought a smile. Nothing wrong with that, just saying that the standard is purchased vs natural and common.
If the whole is big enough its NOT going to cover back over so getting it filled will just extend the life of the tooth IMHO. Im open to anyone that can show a photo of a big whole filling in.
Judging by the multitude of dentists in my local area and the fact we are the only full on fruit eaters we know in this area...
When you go to the dentist and they start pulling out your teeth you know you waited to long.
May I ask a few questions? Forgive me if some of the answers are already in this thread, as I only had a chance to glance over some of the responses.
How long have you been 811?
When was the last time you went to the dentist?
How long have you been brushing without toothpaste?
How many times a day do you floss?
I'm asking because there seems to be a lot of people on this site foregoing dentist's visits, and foregoing using toothpaste and sometimes even not flossing, and then wondering why their teeth are bad.
