Anyone knows whether seaweed keep all its richness after boiling?

But 30B does not promote seaweed consumption, either cooked or raw.

Permalink Reply by Justine on February 1, 2012 at 4:24am I just want to comment on the "Why?" articles next to the seaweed. There are a lot of good reasons listed as to why not eat seaweed. One of the biggest reasons for me: if I were walking on the beach and saw a bunch of kelp washed up, would I want to eat it? Algae growing on a pond, does that look tasty? NO.
However, the articles are a bit misleading because they keep referring to seaweed as an animal. Seaweeds are NOT animals. No type of seaweed is found in the animal kingdom. Most seaweeds that humans eat are protists, though a few people eat algae which are bacteria.

I posted a similar explanation on that thread today! It's one thing if you choose not to eat seaweed for health reasons, but to base your decision off the argument that it's an animal is just being ignorant of the facts...
