Hey!
Does anyone want to rent a house/apartment in St. Petersburg, Florida with me this fall? I'd love to have a raw house! Weekend farmer's market trips, runs, ocean swims, fruit parties, etc etc.
St. Petersburg is pretty nice and the farmer's market is great! Last year I was getting organic local watermelons for $2 each AND they know me and give me free bruised tomatoes and such sometimes. Then the other farmer's market has the tropical fruits. Mamey should still be in season.
I go to college in St. Petersburg. I just turned 21...I like yoga, art, singing, music, drawing, painting, crazy dancing, biking, the ocean, swimming, jogging, hiking, etc.
COST: $250-500 per month each
Come now, no one wants to share a raw fruit house in FL with me for a few months? =P
i want to! im currently working as a medical assistant to save money but ive been wanting to move to florida all year! where is st,petersburg located exactly in florida?
Hey Meesha!
Yesss come come come! Would you be able to move in by the end of August/beginning of September?
Saint Petersburg is in West Central FL on the gulf coast in the Tampa Bay area. It's not quite as hot or fruity as South FL but we'd only be living (renting) there temporarily so you can get a feel for FL and make sure you want to live there and then head down south. We can take a few weekend trips since a 2-3 hour drive south gets us more tropical. We are sub-tropical. But end of summer/fall is a great time because you can get the late mangoes, figs, mamey sapote, and melons for good prices. There are organic greens/veggies at the farmers market for great prices year round, we are right near the ocean and it's BEAUTIFUL. people are nice. There's a whole foods 20 min away in Tampa where there are sometimes events and presentations (Tim Van Orden gave one there in 2011). Also there is a raw food restaurant right in St. Pete. The organic stand at the farmer's market is always hiring if you are looking for extra money and you get to pick out 50$ worth of free produce if you work there (only open saturday morning). It's also not too hard to get a job in the area. What do you think??? I hope you can!

YAYY!!!!! Can't wait to see you again soul sistaa xx
Hey Hannah,
I can only speak for Eckerd College. It's a small school. There are definite ups and downs but what I DO like about it is that the class sizes are small (15-30), the professors are really good, and you can personalize your education. I'm in the Tampa Bay area so it's not as tropical but still really good! I was only there for one semester so far (transfer student) and I've got one semester to go.
