Please stop me and redirect me if this has been posted before. But what products/oils etc do people use to wash there hair if any and brush there teeth etc. I use totally Vegan products at the moment, but am pretty sure from a health point of view (after watching some videos) that pretty much everything you put on/in your body will take an affect on it, and alot of what i use, although being vegan, has still probably got chemicals in it that i dont really want in my system.
Any suggestions or people with the same problems, please speak out!
Many thanks - Tom
Hey Tom -- My wife and kids use vegan tooth paste. only the girls use here use shampoo (vegan) . No soaps needed we find. Hair products used seldom again its only the girls.
How about your teeth?
I only just started on this lifestyle, but I cut out toothpaste and just brush with water after reading that others do this. I also cut out shampoo/conditioner. Right now I am using baking soda (with water) as "shampoo" and apple cider vinegar (also mixed with water) as "conditioner." It's cheap, and has been working well for me. And actually, my hair feels nicer this way. :)
I still use soap, but I want to cut back on that also after I've been eating raw a little longer.
many people use bentonite or moroccan clay to wash their hair. A quick google search should give you some ideas. I haven't tried it yet but I have some clay and I plan on doing so...
I brush my teeth with water and it works just fine. I think soon you will find that you don't really need soaps and deodorants anymore. I have only been LFRV for a few months and I don't need the stuff. If my skin gets dry I might use some coconut oil. It smells great :)
