30 Bananas a Day!

I'm in Buenos Aires at the moment.. and there sure are a lot of neighbourhood produce markets but the quality of the produce is pretty bad..

I've been on the road for about 3 months now, Colombia was lovely - lots of choice, ripe, cheap. Brazil was pretty damn great on fruit, veggies not so much

And here.. a bit frustrating actually. Apples and pears are the only things I can find that are ok. Bananas.. kryptonite green and they don't ripen properly. Oranges - I've thrown away so much money on them - it's like they're transported from some far away place and get stale in the process. Romaine - utter disappointment. Tomatoes - horrendous.

No dates to speak of (teeny fancy ridiculously expensive packages).

Yes, I'm in the land of asado..

I'm not gonna cave in and start eating cooked, I'm just.. bummed

Meet with him!

thanks! but the problem, then is carrying them all back :p

I found a very decent one at Fed. Lacroze & Cabildo

that street nearby, Maure, going towards the Hipodromo, is amazing!
