Hi friends,
I am considering doing a banana island to speed up detox. If you have gone to banana island or another fruit island, what benefits did you experience? How long did you stay on the island? Did you also eat greens for vitmains and minerals? I would love to hear!
Also, where do you guys buy boxes of bananas?
Thanks!
Peaches :)

Permalink Reply by Richie Fruitbat on April 10, 2012 at 5:45am I did it for 3 weeks, literally just nanas and water, no greens. I was unable to eat tomatoes and citrus fruits before due to allergic reactions. After 3 weeks on Banana Island I was able to eat these things with no problems! I also set a personal best in running during the 3 weeks I was on it!!!
I just ask for a box of bananas at my local greengrocers shop. The nearest wholesaler is a fair distance away, but I'm gonna check them out soon.
Thanks for the response Richie! Thats awesome that you had such great results! I think I am definitely going to have to give BI a try. My digestion hasn't been the best lately...due to poor food combining and not enough water. But its better than what it was before 811.
I think tomatoes are causing me irritation with my skin...although it could be citrus too. I think doing a banana island will tell me and then hopefully i can eat them again because I love tomatoes and oranges!
Thanks again. :)
HI Alycia!
I haven't tried it yet. I'm planning on going on it very soon though. I'm trying to stock up on bananas and get them rippened before I start. I'm thinking I will do it for about 10 days. I will let you know how it goes it I do it. Let me know how your BI trip goes! :)

I enjoyed grape island a lot! You can vary the type of grapes you have (green, red, purple) to make it more interesting too. Banana island is good, and you can make mono recipes to add variety (banana cereal, banana smoothie, plain bananas), date island was very sweet and absolute heaven, as was watermelon island :) Grapes were my favorite though as that's what really started my recovery and got me where I am today :)
Have a lovely day,

Hey Esperanza!
Thanks for sharing your experiences! I am having terrible problems with candida and skin issues and am hoping a mono-island will help. :)
Glad it has worked so well for you!

Permalink Reply by Lala M. Apples on May 12, 2012 at 1:28pm I'm starting banana island tommorow. I want to go for 1 week at least. I will likely be doing smoothies! My issues are mucus as related to allergies and acne!
Permalink Reply by Jupiterinka on May 12, 2012 at 1:39pm I'm wondering if you're able to get all the nutrients you need doing mono-islands. I don't know too much about it.
