Hi everyone!
I'm Guillaume, 33 years old, and I'm musician.
I leave in Paris, France. I just want to testify that it is possible to follow a 100% 811 diet here, although France is one of the most expensive countries for fruit lovers! One of my dreams is to own a big orchard...Hum, not this year, but..let's hope!
For example, mangoes (good quality, not the boat shipped ones): about 7€/kilo minimum. (Chinese stores)
Exotic fruits are kind of hard to find, but, still, it's possible to make it.
I was wondering if other 811 eaters were in my area, I would be great to connect!
Have a nice day,
G.

We live in the south of Spain and down here we have lots of real good fruits, but in Paris you can get some durian, whereas here it's close to impossible...
Maybe you'd like to take a look at the south of Spain in September, we organize a raw fruit festival http://festival.811-friendly.net
Hi Stephane,
Sure, let me know when you're in Paris. Yes, Chinese stores have durian here, I buy some 2 or 3 times per year, and I love it. I really have to go to Thailand someday...
Raw fruit festival? This is a great idea! Sounds really good, I will try to go there in september!
Are you french? I'm seriously considering to move from Paris, maybe try to go in a more sunny place.
Permalink Reply by Stephane on June 8, 2012 at 3:27am Indeed french. I have been living in Spain for 5 years now, and before that 6 years in California, so I haven't really been in France for a long time ;-)
J'espere qu'on pourra se rencontrer au festival en septembre! A bientot
Hey Guillaume, Sorry not in Paris. We live in the south of France near Nice. Great weather here but very expensive!!!! France is not really the place for vegans never mind Frugivores! :D We're moving to Spain soon to find more fruit!!!! We're going to the fruit festival Stephane mentioned so would be great to meet up if you go.

I am in Limoges and go to Paris from time to time to see friends. Maybe one day we can meet up!
Hi Loane,
Sure, let me know when you come! I never met french raw vegans yet. Do you know some?
@FruitLover: I think that the country side near Nice is one of the most beautiful places in the world, I love to go there. Great fruits in the summer, apricots, figs... But yes, very expensive.
@Stephane: J'espère aussi, je te tiens au courant si je viens, merci! à Bientôt.
Permalink Reply by Loane on June 8, 2012 at 5:34pm Ok! I won´t be going before september or even later.
No, I haven´t met any raw vegan yet, french or else. And I wouldn´t be surprised if I was the only one in Limoges!

I'm so glad to hear it's possible in France. I live in California but my mother is from Lyon and the last time I went to visit I had to start eating dairy again after 3 years vegan:-( I haven't been back in ten years but I am going to plan a trip next year and I would love to meet you, À bientôt j'espere! ~Chloe
Permalink Reply by Dovima on June 9, 2012 at 10:56pm Anyone else wondering why she *had* to start eating dairy again?
Permalink Reply by Emilie on June 8, 2012 at 7:13pm Hello everyone!
I'm happy to see so many answers :-)
I am french, lived during 4 years in Paris (september 2007 to june 2011).
I am now in Brussels for job purpose. Fruits are as expensive as in France, even more.
I would be happy to be in touch with others raw foodists, fruit lovers.
Have a nice day,
Emilie

I'm a raw vegan, but not French :) I live in Lille and come to Paris from time to time for work and family.
As you say, France is one of the worst countries to be fruitarian. I pay 3€/piece for mangoes and I buy them at a kind of farm supermarket; each time I've 10% discount and some gifts because I told them I eat exclusively fruits :) I also have the same discount at BioCoop. Do not hesitate to negotiate the prices. You'd never know if you don't ask !
I only have one French raw vegan friend, Erwan Compes. You might find him here or on Facebook. As far as I know, he's planning to be in Paris from September on.
Cheers
Celina
