I just wanted everyone to meet our new fruity baby. His father and I went 801010 2 years before we conceived.
The pregnancy was amazing and I felt great the whole time.
I gained 14 lbs and the baby was 7 lbs 14oz.
I started off running about 8 miles a day. This was a cut back from my normal 10 - 15 miles a day.
At about 6 months I cut back to walking 5-10 miles a day and I never ran out of energy.
The whole time I wanted more fruit and less salad/greens.
I found out that nuts and seeds were not my friends and I eliminated them completely during my pregnancy.
I had a few craving for foods from my childhood, but it was never unbearable.
I juiced carrots and some wild greens just to make sure I had enough iron.
The labor was relatively painless and I did not tear at all.
HERE IS LIVING PROOF THAT FRUIT CAN BUILD A BABY:)
I had very little blood loss and I was climbing 6 flights of stairs to go to the cafeteria and rob all the fruit bins only a few hours after the baby was born.
I felt like I could get up and run a marathon after he was born.

Permalink Reply by Jessie James on April 6, 2012 at 1:26am Wow, this is great to hear. The horror stories I heard from SAD eaters really have deterred my from ever considering having a baby. I also would never want to attempt it until my body was very clean too. There are so many birth defects today!

Permalink Reply by Mera/Feather Story on April 6, 2012 at 3:24am Wow congratulations! Just for the sake of others who don't know much about birth, many mother's who experience natural birth feel like they could "run a marathon" after the birth. Not all, but that is a common sentiment...it is also more prevalent in that community to not tear or have stretch marks...it's not all that uncommon...but I think it is amazing what you were able to do and that your baby came out so big! I drank a lot of carrot juice during my last pregnancy as well, but never really correlated the why...you're the first all-raw pregnancy I've seen in awhile. Enjoy your babymoon.
