I'll be in Bangkok next week and wondered if anyone could recommend a fruit market in Bangkok, where I can buy good quality organic fruit, please?
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Peter

Siam Paragon is a big shopping complex with lots of organic fruits and veg as well though a little pricey!

Thank you for your reply.
I'm in China at the moment and unfortunately, youtube is banned here, so I won't be able to watch the video that you and your wife made but thanks for the message anyway...
All the best,
Peter
Permalink Reply by Paul Tarbath on June 23, 2012 at 8:04pm No problem! By-the-way you might want to check out a raw vegan restaurant called 'Rasayana Retreat' which is both a restaurant and a retreat centre. Very nice quiet place.
If you let them know your exact requirements 2-3 days before you visit they can cater to your needs. Just email them for a full menu!
Heres their Bangkok link: http://www.rasayanaretreat.com/gallery-location/pataya-branch/

That place looks brilliant, thank you!
I'll definitely go there next week and try out the food...
Are there any other vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Bangkok, that you'd highly recommend?
By the way, if you're ever in Budapest, be sure to check out the Napfenyes vegan restaurant in district VII, it's fantastic there and the bean goulash soup, is a masterpiece!
Al the best, Peter

I went to the Bonita vegan cafe in Bangkok tonight and had a wonderful meal there, including trying datorade for the very first time!
Wow! What an incredible drink that is!
I can't believe that I've been missing out on that!
I got chatting to the owner, a really nice vegan chap from Japan and was amazed to discover (I know your wife mentioned it in the video that you made) that he is an ultra-marathon runner, who runs up to 100 miles in a race!!!
I must admit, that I had absolutely know idea that people trained for and ran over such extreme distances.
Anyway, he and his wife seem like really nice people and following your example, I would highly recommend the Bonita Cafe and Social Club in Bangkok, not only for vegans but anyone else, that is looking for excellent food, at very reasonable prices.
I think that I'll just have to head back there tomorrow afternoon too, as 2 datorades, was nowhere near enough today!
Many thanks, once again...
All the best,
Peter

Glad you are enjoying the restaurants. The owner of Bonita is a great guy and we use to run around Lumphini Park with him from time to time. Funny enough we met with another ultra marathon runner while we were there in Bangkok from OZ whos 811.
If you think datorade is realy good you must try the Durian fruit while you are there! If you can get a nice ripe one its heaven.....
Enjoy the rest of your stay in Bangkok!
