Organic bulk dates?? Help!

Shields Dates (http://www.shieldsdategarden.com).  Click on their "Promotions" page to get 15lbs of dates for $35 plus shipping!  We've ordered from them three times (still waiting on the third box, though), and their dates (Khadrawis for us!) are really yummy. :)

Shields seems good for the conventional, and for a few more dollars you can get organic (my preference) medjools from:

I know dates last a long time, but I assume dates this long after season have been refrigerated/frozen? Although I do believe I ordered about this time last year and they tasted just as fresh.

Not to hijack the thread, but if anyone wants to add any sites for bulk figs, I've yet to find a place that gets the price down to $4/lb. or so shipped.

the figs in the shop are not normally that great to me, I've much preferred eating them off friend's tree's....what experience have you had in getting them shipped?

I've gotten some dried black mission figs off Amazon that were actually fairly tasty(to me). I imagine fresh figs are near impossible to ship(at least cost effectively) so dried is really the only way to go.

Ten pounds of medjool dates for $44, free shipping??? Sounds awesome- the other site (the fernandezdates one) had some amazing prices, too. Thanks for all the awesome sites- can't wait to have an abundance of dates around!!

I usually order from the buatista family but they are not shipping any more dates until August, same with the date people.
