I must admit up until yesterday i didn't see enough of the added benefits of buying organic bananas instead of standard. In my local supermarker standard are 68p/kilo whereas organic are 2 - 2½ times the price depending on picking out the bigger packs of 6 bananas for £1.85.
Yesterday it was the turn of organic to be ripe as i bought 2 packs a while back when the standard were very green, the organic didn't taste as watery and satisfied my hunger earlier and i could only manage 11 whereas before i would get to 14 or 15 quite easily. A large quantity before would give me a lot of wind but yesterday i had less wind and a couple of hours after eating them i had an amazing rush of wellbeing that I hadn't experienced up until now.
Do people on here mainly eat organic bananas or mix up or stick to standard as they're cheaper, as they would make up most of calorific uptake in most 811 diets i presume.

Do you not have Tesco's or Waitrose near to you, if i can source them in the middle of devon surely it should be easy to in Southampton?
Permalink Reply by Milos Stepita on June 1, 2012 at 10:59pm Yeah in Southampton I could sourced them, however I didn´t feel much difference in taste, but maybe I just got wrong bunch and I was on a budget so I didn´t buy organic often.
But now I am in Slovakia and there are no organic ones around.
Permalink Reply by sunshine on June 1, 2012 at 11:15pm I see a big difference in how I feel when I eat organic. I can't always find them, but it's so worth it when I do. :o)
Permalink Reply by ORGANIC811LFRV on June 2, 2012 at 12:11pm As my name implies, I am a 100% organic gal and haven't regretted the investment at all. It's far cheaper than the toxicity in my body and supporting a corporation-led industry to our demise by buying commercial produce or commercial anything.
We vote with our money. I vote always organic!
I'm so happy you saw such a difference. Buy as much organic as you can. Find ways of buying more. I believe we are led to answers with our desires. Be led by yours.
