Ok so like the title said I want to do LFRV. I have been on and off with this for the past couple months. Staying vegan of course but just the low fat and raw. I try to stay low fat but then I will eat a whole avocado (yikes) or I even had fries :S. Now I have 3 weeks (thats when my school and dance classes end) to eat all the rice, oatmeal, and chickpeas in my house. Then after all that is gone I'm doing a Banana Island Cleanse and then a mono mango cleanse straight into 110% low fat raw vegan. I don't care if I gain 10lbs, I don't care if I lose 10lbs, I don't care if I maintain my weight. I'm going to stop doing things for other people and trying to make other people happy and be accepted. I'm going to do what is right for me and what will make me happy. I'm sick of myself making excuses to be sad, depressed, and angry. I will commit to this!
and so finally my question! Any good tips or words of advice?

I know that sounds counter-intuitive but it can actually make it easier. So do 2 weeks, 30 days, 60 days, whatever you think is a reasonable target. After that time is over, you can always go back to rice, oats and chickpeas... or you can keep going down the fruity path. It's lot harder for your subconscious mind to sabotage you if you are doing it for a finite time period.

Permalink Reply by Freshtival on May 23, 2012 at 3:20pm I found that making a commitment move makes it easier to make a break from the old ways and into the new. For me this was finding something in my kitchen that I wasn't going to eat anymore and getting rid of it. Getting rid of it can mean giving it away to a food bank or a friend or just throwing it into the garbage. Good luck.
