All of April I was 100% lfrv, and, now that it's May, I went to the store and bought some organic raw walnuts, to include maybe once or twice a week.n
I used to LOVE walnuts, but when I went to eat one it tasted gross. I thought, "maybe that was a bad one," and ate another... still awful.
No more overt fats for me.
Anyone else feel like this?

Permalink Reply by Wendy Harvey on September 6, 2012 at 12:51pm i havent had in like a year, do you think nuts can be grouped with sad diet now?
do you know what nuts look and taste like before human intervention? they are kinda boring, i remember i used to buy the almonds still in the the green thingy, borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring
Permalink Reply by Wendy Harvey on September 6, 2012 at 1:12pm dave what i am trying to say is that the nuts straight of the tree taste nothing like what we buy in the stores, so thats why i was thinking of putting them in sad category. We are not eating the same natural thing the other primates are eating. Hopefully somebody will educate me if i am wrong?:P thats the way i think until somebody disproves me:P
Permalink Reply by Heather Bhagat on September 6, 2012 at 1:54pm Walnuts are pretty disgusting by themselves. Most nuts are pretty bland, since our taste buds can't taste fats, proteins, startch or fiber.. which is basically what a nut is comprised of. I think the only nut I really truly enjoy, are pistachios, they're crazy good.
Permalink Reply by Ra Zitrone on September 6, 2012 at 5:19pm cashews & peanuts are gross raw, taste fine roasted (but not all roasted peanuts taste good, some taste terrible)
almonds are all pasteurized nowadays even if they say they're raw, they taste fine to me
pistachio's are gross raw, good roasted and lightly salted
pecans taste pretty good
walnuts to me are just pecans that don't taste as good
that being said... I prefer peanut butter cookies and vanilla almond milk, both of which I rarely have
Permalink Reply by Ra Zitrone on September 6, 2012 at 5:34pm not the silk vanilla almond milk, that's the one I have, or at least I think it didn't have that, I haven't had any vanilla almond milk for months
yep, just checked the website, no carrageenan in the ingredients
you disagree on the fact that I prefer peanut butter cookies, you can't do that, lol, that's like saying, "I disagree, you don't prefer peanut butter cookies"
jk - I know what you mean
Permalink Reply by Trevor Gates on September 6, 2012 at 8:02pm Eat Brazil nuts! The most nutrient dense of all nuts!
You only need a few nuts a week and you get to save the rain forest at the same time! Brazil nuts are almost imposable to grow in mono culture and surly not profitable, so they are all wild harvested in diverse rain forests..
