30 Bananas a Day!

I know so many people have written about this, however, i am new to this lifestyle and am not 100% raw quite yet...i am steadily gaining weight and now 160lbs and im only 5'2. i have read 80-10-10 twice and am now working on the third time, and i think whats happening is im not getting the 3000 calorie minimum i need. has anyone else encountered this? and if so did increasing your calories help in getting healthier? i have been walking 4 miles a day and im still gaining...im just plain frustrated.

Yup, you need to score high on the calories. What're your habits like? Getting to bed early enough? 

Yes sleep makes SUCH a big difference!  And drinking plenty of water~

I try to get as much sleep as possible, however my body just waks up after maybe 5 hours of sleep on its own...

I'm hearing you're feeling frustrated and longing to be healthy!

Inability to sleep well is often a sign of being under-carbed.  

Do you have a history of restricting calories?  Are you eating more than 10% of your calories from fat?

I do somewhat have a history of calorie restriction in my past. and i am trying to do my best at thinking i have to eat more calories. also i use cronometer nearly every day and most days i stay well below the 10% however there are days i go over. I find it nearly impossible to eat atleast 3000 calories so i have been making smoothies. i am a cna and is way easier for me to drink my calories than to sit and eat them the problem is i still am not getting enough, and i drink water too but maybe 1-2 liters not the 3-4 i should be. after drinking smoothies, im not always thirsty.

Sounds like you are on the right track.  Just keep working on it!  It will probably take some time.  

Candace, when you say you are not 100% raw quite yet, what else are you eating and how frequently?  That will perhaps shed some light on this, at least in my mind.  Also, you stated in a prior post waking up after 5 hrs.  Are you eating/drinking anything with caffeine in it?

I do not usually drink caffeine, ive never been big on soda or coffee. And when I am not eating raw, I will have a subway sandwhich or beans and rice, vegan deli meats,crackers things like that. Also, I don't think I am getting enough greens...like I said, I am finding it hard to get all the calories I'm supposed to and still drink enough water. I feel like its impossible to get them all in.

Candace, not only are you eating non vegie-fruit items, you are also ingesting god only knows what chemicals, msg, gmo's, salt, and toxic elements.  I would recommend making a clean break for 30 days.

 

On this site you will find the answer to your dilemma.  Eating dates, bananas, smoothies, greens will take away cravings for meats and such eventually. 

This site will be my saving grace I do believe. All of the support and stories will keep me strong and help me make the right decisions. Thank you
