Hi everyone! I'm trying to jump into low fat raw vegan 100% because of a tendency to go all or nothing... but I've done my research and I'm ready to commit to a life full of energy. I do feel the difference when I eat fruits and live foods compared to bread or cooked foods. The problem is... I feel as if I'm emotionally and physically addicted to some foods (having anorexia tendencies before and now an overeating habit )... like it's a habit that obsesses my mind!
So this morning, I had a spinach banana smoothie, but and it got rid of my usual cravings for a morning bagel! so I was very happy about that :D. but then towards lunch... (I still attend high school), I got a massive craving/compulsion for my usual tuna sandwich on wheat bread at the cantine. My question is... should I eat more fruit to be able to conquer these cravings? should I make my breakfast bigger to hold me off more effectively until lunch? For now, the meal plan is spinach banana smoothie for breakfast, mono meal of pears for lunch, and then a big romaine salad/apples for dinner.
In addition, I am about 30 pounds over my healthy ideal weight (the doctor says 120 lbs since I am 5' 5" and I'm 150 lbs). If I successfully jump onto the LWRV wagon, sleep the recommended 9 hours (I know I tend to skimp on this because of stress and schoolwork haha), and exercise 30 minutes a day, how long would it take me to lose some weight?
Sorry for the long rant and questions! But thank you in advance for your advice and support :)

Hi Jennifer, welcome and best wishes on your journey to better health!
If you do a calorie count on your typical day plan (smoothie, pears, and salad/apples) -- you're way under-carbed and "under-caloried" (if that's a word)
I suggest plugging everything you eat (raw and non-raw) into cronometer.com and making sure you get at least 1800 calories since you're female.
If I were you I would make sure your morning smoothie has at least 4 bananas (preferably 6). 1 banana is 100 calories. Pears don't have many calories and salads of course have very little calories. Since you're in school you might want to add in dates and bananas at lunch.
