Can one explain this to me. I've read meat contains all the aminos, but not fruits and veggies.
If so, what can I eat to get complete aminos?

Permalink Reply by Datiger on February 16, 2012 at 9:09am So the 9 important ones are in every fruit and veggie?
If one is eating bananas all day and then some romaine. I just don't know if that's enought AA's.
Thanks
Permalink Reply by Datiger on February 16, 2012 at 1:01pm Nice! What about the mono meals though. Mono meals are easier to digest right?
But getting all ones vitamins and minerals and stuff wouldn't really work?
So I don't know.

Essential amino acids
Humans produce 10 of 20 amino acids. others get supplied by eating plant food. Failure to obtain enough of even 1 of these 10 essential amino acids, those that we cannot make, results in a degradation of the body's proteins—muscle and so forth—ability to obtain the other amino acid needed. Unlike fat and starch, the human body does not store excess amino acids for later use—the amino acids get supplied in the plant food we eat every day.
The 10 amino acids that we can produce:
alanine
asparagine
aspartic acid
cysteine
glutamic acid
glutamine
glycine
proline
serine
&
tyrosine.
Tyrosine is produced from phenylalanine, so a diet deficient in phenylalanine, tyrosine required also. The essential amino acids:
arginine (required for the young, but not for adults)
histidine
isoleucine
leucine
lysine
methionine
phenylalanine
threonine
tryptophan
&
valine.
These amino acids acquired from plant foods. Plants, of course, able to make all the amino acids. Humans, on the other hand, do not have the enzymes required for the biosynthesis of each of the amino acids but only half.

I also got a message from Duncan writing, "protein from worn out cells can be broken down to amino acids and reused. mono meals arent a problem because the missing aminos can be scavenged from the recycled cells".
And you say that the body doesn't store AA's. How long does it stay in your system?

Permalink Reply by MADO on February 16, 2012 at 8:31am I thought goji berries did. Have all of them. I read its a complete protein. I dont know. I dont believe anything.
Permalink Reply by Datiger on February 16, 2012 at 9:11am Oh crazy! Every time I think of Amino's I think of vegetable or meat. I have to look more into it because I think Apple cider vinegar has Aminos. LOL hahaha alright now I have to do more research 'cuz I have no idea what I'm talking about ahahha.
If only Goji berries were easily accessible! I guess they might be in Whole Foods.
Permalink Reply by DUNCAN LEWIS on February 16, 2012 at 9:23am i doubt any type of vinegar has protein in
Permalink Reply by Datiger on February 16, 2012 at 1:08pm Totally agree with you, but this is what it says on the "Braggs ACV" is that it connects strand-like chains of protein enzyme molecules.
I must of misread it a while ago, I don't really understand it. I guess it means by drinking the ACV that it helps get AA's together better. LOL I don't know, this is all knew to me. I don't know how the body works quite yet :)
Permalink Reply by Rawbert on February 16, 2012 at 1:20pm Apple cider vinegar is poison, not recommended.
Forget about magic berries and potions Tim.. fruit and veg is all you need..
Permalink Reply by Datiger on February 16, 2012 at 2:02pm :) Yea, I hear you.
Don't mono meals give too many nutrients in one thing and lack in another?
I just bought the ACV!!! AHHH!!! LOL. I'm gonna use some on the skin then and put some in salad until it's gone. I guess I won't buy anymore when it's emptied.
