Hello everyone,
My name is Sydney and I am new to this site. I am here looking for some help in fixing my health naturally. I've been interested in the raw diet for over a year now and really want to get started. I'm hypoglycemic and have leaky gut and candida. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I need to do to stabilize my blood sugar. Within an hour of eating, my blood sugar drops, the muscles in my face slightly paralyze, hindering my speech, and I feel like fainting. It takes every bit of my strength to keep myself focused on what I am doing. On top of that, I rarely have energy, my skin is bad, and I am almost always in a brain fog. People I work with comment all of the time on how "loopy" I can be. I just can't seem to get a hold of my blood sugar! I've read a lot about the raw diet in general and just stumbled across the high carb raw diet recently. What I am trying to understand is how eating so much fruit can help with hypoglycemia and candida. Last thing I want to do is make myself worse. What should I do to get started safely?

Welcome, Sydney. Read 811 thoroughly if you haven't already, really good section on blood sugar. And right away really watch your fat intake, get it down to 10% of your calories. It's the fat coating your cells that's hindering the absorption of blood sugar - the sugar (fuel) not getting to your cells is remaining in the bloodstream and your organs are being taxed trying to get the blood sugar to your cells. The candida grows in response to the elevated blood sugar. Get the fat down, fuel up on fruit, rest, drink lots of water, you are going to feel so much better and really soon. I'm so glad you came here!
