You know how sometimes, some one say just what you need to hear? I need a nudge. I have struggled so many years with trying to go RV, and for the last several months LFRV. I realized a week ago that I had 41 weeks until my 40th birthday. Just over the length of human gestation. I rose that day determined to be "reborn" by then, and from that day six days ago I have been 100% lfrv, without even the tiniest exception. I have been eating a lot, to avoid cravings. Maybe thats my problem today..I am sitting here tempted strangly by pasta and bread and all kinds of other things I know are in my pantry. I am positing this to be held accountable for my choices, to hold Myself accountable, so to speak, for choosing to make the right choices from here on out. I feel so much better already, why I am even tempted doesnt make sense. I want the woman who will be reborn in 40 weeks to be healthy and lean. I want her to have the mental clarity that comes from eating right. She deserves no less. Having 6 perfect days behind me, why would I consider giving that up?
Iff any of you have struggled with the consatnt false starts, please tell me what you do to avois falling off the path...
I would seriously recommend to throw these things away if they are in your house (unless if anyone else is in the household).
Are you eating 3000+ calories? Just eat as much as you can fit in, until you just can't eat any more fruit. That's when you wouldn't want cooked food. You might gain some weight doing this, but it slowly goes back down. It's a sign of the body retaining water due to reaction of previous abuses to the body such as undereating.
If you are eating your natural diet, calories in vs. calories out theory is pure nonsense.
I have 4 teens in the house, so although we have eliminated the worst offenders, there is still plenty here here that is not raw. I am eating about 1800 calories, but I am not trying to limit calories. You are totally right though, I needed to eat more this morning when I was feeling tempted. I need to lose about 150lbs, so I don't know if the 3k calorie goal would still apply.
Wow Mary, Thanks for all the great advice. I am not trying to limit calories at all, but I use fitday.com to track the calories so I can make sure I am as close to 80/10/10 as possible. I have a mason jar of water I refill several times a day, so I know I am good on that front too. My husband is super supportive, he is a type 1 diabetic, so he knows there would be health benefits for him, as well. He, unlike me, is in great physical shape- so the motivation is different.
As for the rest, I find that I sleep surprisingly well on this- much better than I normally do. However, I have a very stressful job, and often work 12-14 hours 6 days per week. Its sedentary work, and I can arrange my schedule to work out- just need to do that.
I will check out the "your body is your gym" group. How long have you been LFRV?
