Okay, so after seriously 6+ months of trying to manifest a durian, one finally appeared for me at the market today. I've only had the frozen kind a few times and am so so excited to try durian out in it's fresh, local, organic form. I've been going bonkers over even the frozen stuff, I can't imagine what the real stuff is going to be like.

p.s. I live in Hawaii and durian is supposed to be out of season...how do I have a fresh ripening durian on my table right now?
p.p.s. What happened the first time you tried durian? I loved it instantly, it even smelled incredible to me. Don't know what it means to have to adjust to it! <3

I really wanted to like such an interesting fruit, but found the smell unpleasant and the taste was like a sweet burnt onion! I guess I'm just one of those people that doesn't like it unfortunately :(
