Hi,
I've been really ill for the last 3 days, vomiting and diarrhea. I have been much higher raw since beg of Jan, and recently 100% for about 10 days. On friday my plane was delayed so ended up eating pasta in the airport - had parmegano in it which I tried to pick out but obviosuly wasn't so good at that. I ate 100% raw all weekend, even though on Sunday I was feeling very off.
Anyway, my test results come back today, probably a bacteria or parasites, but I was wondering how to I ease myself back onto 811. Would it be a good idea to have boiled potatos and rice first?
I have had time where I have felt like fresh OJ these last few days but scared in case I throw up even more.
I cant wait to get back on the fruits, I hate feeling like this bedridden and useless. I have certainly learned my lesson!

what is it about cooked food that makes one less likely to vomit? if you can't answer that, you should definitely just listen to your body and drink the OJ!

Your body is removing the poison on its own. If you eat cooked food, you may have less symptoms, but also less healing.
More important than anything is rest!
Hugs and hope you feel better soon!

Permalink Reply by Ben on February 9, 2012 at 4:15am Generally, fruits are the first foods introduced back into the diet after a gastro-intenstinal problem. I don't understand why you would need to eat cooked foods first before raw. If I were you I would wait until my body tells me it's hungry and then go to water rich fruits like watermelon, oranges, mangos. Then transition to all fruits and vegetables.

LOL Thanks!
