I went off for a few days just the hubby and me. I came up with the brilliant idea of letting Dad come over and watch the house and feed the dogs.
I came home after 4 days and the house looked good! Mom and Dad kept everything nice. Right up until I opened the Refrigerator.
First thing out of my Mom´s mouth. 'your father is crazy. He blended ALL your fruit.'
All of it?! I asked 'Yes!"
I had 4 pineapples sitting on the counter. They were going to be perfect by the time I got home. My green mangoes would have been that beautiful orange color. I had two bags of frozen bananas just waiting for me!
Dad found the vita mix. He found ALL and I mean ALL of my frozen fruit. He chopped up all 4 of my pineapples! He blended an entire box of mangoes! He had all this fruit blended up sittling in gallon sized tea jugs in the fridge! He did not miss one banana!
In addition, he went fishing. My fridge was loaded up with fish...and bait! I almost cried.
He was so happy showing me all this stuff and telling me how much he liked my vita mix. Then he poured himself a glass, pronounced it good and went off to watch TV.
It took me another 3 days to get the fish smell out of the fridge.
He also cleaned out the pantry...
Permalink Reply by PK on Fruit is irresistible and I think on some subconscious level your father was attracted to it as it seems he was drinking the concoction as well.
I love the classic DR question...if you put a banana and a rabbit together in front of a child, he will play with the rabbit and eat the banana. Seems your father played with his fish and drank his fruit:D
(I know, too bad for the fish)
May be that can be a bridge building opportunity to get him on the fruity path:D

Well at least he got himself fruited up while he house-sat for you. Maybe next time, hide the vitamix!

The fact that your dad loves fruit is awesome! My dad thinks eating fruit is something people do to punish themselves, so it's great that your dad doesn't think so!
