30 Bananas a Day!

I have always had a constipation problem no matter what I eat from SAD to 80-10-10.  So this is what I've gleaned from this site on ways I can resolve this issue.

  • Eat less often (2 or 3 meals instead of 4 or 5), but bigger meals
  • Eat 1 type of fruit per day, finishing off with my greens like lettuce and celery
  • Drink lots of water 3-4 quarts per day
  • No overts (nut, avocadoes, just the fruit and greens) for the first 6 months
  • Exercise hardcore at least 1 hour per day, more if possible
  • Replenish water lost from exercise by using the scale weight of before and after exercise

Basically I have been doing everything bulleted above, except the eat 1 type of fruit per day, and I am still constipated after being 80-10-10 for 3 weeks.  Any ideas?

Also, I think bananas are okay, but u need to drink water after or make smoothies with water, cos they can feel a bit dry.. I am in my first weeks too & I know what it's like to walk around with a ful belly & feeling all the pressure & going a bit insane wondering what the hell is going on in ur body? But come on, lets just continue this & give it tie to adjust.. I'm giving it at least six months before i'm going to do my first evaluation, cos I know that years of bad eating cannot be cleared out in a few weeks only..

Okay gang, this is what I’m going to try for the next few weeks after reading all your wonderful ideas—thank you!

 

CRON-O-METER STATS: 88% carbs, 6% fat, 6% protein    2490Cals

 

Meal #1: Leafy Sweets “Goolish Concoction” Smoothie  935 calories

  • 1 cup (or 2 grams) soaked prunes
  • 1 tbs. whole soaked flaxseed
  • 1 tbs. ground flaxseed
  • ½  beet bulb
  • 5 apples

Meal #2 Banana Date Smoothie  830 calories

  • 6 bananas
  • 10 dates

Meal #3 Citrus Soup   475 calories

  • 3 grapefruits
  • 3 oranges
  • 3 lemons              Mixed into a chunky soup with a smidge of stevia

 

Meal #4 Green Juice and Minced Salad 250 calories

I like eating a lighter meal before bedtime and always while it’s still light out.

 

Green Juice made in my Green Star

  • 1 head spinach (or lettuce)
  • 1 bunch celery

Minced Salad

  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 sweet (bell) pepper
  • handful cilantro

Probiotic before bed…finis!

 

 

 

Hi Terra,

Most of my greens are going to be juiced, so I think I'll be okay.  I've read in other posts that flaxseed is supposed to be good.  I've not tried flaxseed in my diet yet, so I'm going to see how it goes since it still keeps at 6% fat overall.  I haven't talked with Freelee or Harley, I didn't know I could access their advice directly.  But I feel I need to exhaust all my, and everyone here, ideas before I bother them.

I would suggest being careful trying too many things, you may not know what actually is working or not working for that matter. Makes it harder to know what to increase or decrease then, or even do without. One thing may even be contradicting the effect of something else in your diet also. Just a thought or two. :O)

you need to eat bigger meals and less frequently it seems...perhaps your meals are overlapping and there is not enough time to digest each. i do 2 large meals and then a liquid meal at night and always not later than 7 or else i find it backs me up.

 

so say

mea1 #1 watermelon

wait 15 minutes or so

meal #2 banana/date/spinach smoothie with like 10 bananas/15 dates

 --wait 2-3 hours in between

meal #3 large salad meal with cucs, toms, perhaps cilantro/lettuce

or papaya cut up and banana date smoothie poured over it with celery to munch on the side

 

dateorade with dates and coconut water to make a thick shake.

 

of course 1L water upon rising and after exercise.

 

p.s. flaxseed with constipate you.

 

what were you eating pre-811 and how long ago was it?

I'm printing out this reply so I can try this next. I can get about 9 hours sleep max because I have so much to do; I think that will be enough for me. Mono Island will be my next step for sure if I need to.

Oh yes!  I didn't put in my plan any of the water I'll be drinking, but I'll be having lemon water in the morning (2 quarts) and 2 more quarts of plain water during the day.  :)
Yes, absolutely!  I'll be doing my 5 mile jog after my lemon water but before my "Goolish Concoction".  I don't even want to think about what it would be like if that concoction kicked-in while I was out for a run.
So you can actually have too many greens? I though the more greens the better..?

This is almost guranteed to end your constipation! Not proper food combining perhaps but it doen't bother my system and i drink it a lot.. another lovely lady on this forum tried it and it helped her..

 

Smoothie with RIPE bananas ( 3-4 ) , orange juice ( including all pulp ) from 5-6 oranges  and 4 ripe kiwi fruits.... The seeds in the kiwi fruit just really help to get things moving along....

 

So eating anything with small seeds like that will help... kiwi fruit, figs, come to mind...  Also make sure your fruit is RIPE!  Let us know.. xx
