Just a small good news I found and felt I had to share with you. According to a poll in a french site, 84,6% of all voters "would buy without hesitation the book "Vegan is Love" for their children"! Since this is by no means a vegan site but a general audience oriented one, it is reasonable to expect that this is a representative sample for the whole french population. And since France is not particularly advanced when it comes to Veganism (in fact, it's quite backwards; and that's an euphemism... you are not allowed to eat Vegan food in public hospitals!! so outrageous!! that's truly a barbaric country! This hurts me all the more since my love for this country is so great...), it is also not unreasonable to expect that this is a representative sample for all western European mothers.
So I think it is not unreasonable to say that about 70 or 80% of all western European mothers would be at least willing to read the book "Vegan is Love" together with their children.
Rejoice, sweet fruity friends!
Our voice is being heard!
We are experiencing a consciousness shift!

Any comment is also appreciated, even if it is to the extent that this kind of poll is useless and we shouldn't be wasting our time with this...

you are right about certain elements in france being backward:
More than a dozen countries, mostly in Europe, have banned production of the delicacy on the grounds of cruelty. But in France, foie gras has been declared "part of the cultural and gastronomic patrimony, protected in France."

the poll seems legit to me (it's over 88% when i voted) and with a sample of 500, i don't think it is contrived especially since it is a general audience. people are indeed becoming more conscious because the internet allows
i think it is very important for people to be aware of stats like this, because this fight is by no means a hopeless one. in fact, quite the opposite!
not only is it essential! it has already been won within the consciences of humanity!
we just have some cleaning up to do.
most people do have a conscience and try to lock it up because of useless things like:
but our conscience was not put there by accident ... nor does it evaporate, no matter how hard someone tries to pressure it into containment.
so when you post something like this, it reminds everyone that there is much good in people, however deeply buried, and that we should empower that goodness to take charge and change the way things are ... to the way they should be!
