30 Bananas a Day!

Ive had a very hard time learning the right way on how raw vegan eating works for me, especially living in mexico and not having that much information around about it. (Yes, i have the internet, which has lots of information… good, bad and confusing…)

I have to admit that my eating and training history have been very abusing. Times were i ate raw vegan/fruitarian with extremely low calorie followed by huge abounts of calories with SAD junk foods (binge) and lastly followed by water fasting… meanwhile drinking up to 5 big cups of coffee, sleeping 3-4 hrs, studying med school and architecture at the same time and training 4 hours daily (running and swimming… and PLUS anything else i could.) During this time (2007) i was going through a very confusing/depressed moment where i felt lost in time and space. Stress combined with awful habits and a bomb for our bodies. This i learned the hard way… To the point were i was diagnosed with several food sensitivities i never had to deal with (gluten and lactose), adrenal fatigue, severe acne, PCOS, hypoglycemia, very low ferritin levels, severe depression and 20 pounds of extra weight. I dropped everything (2009) and went on a health journey and started to learn a little more about healthy eating habits. At this point i knew everything i was going through had to do with how and what i was eating and the things that surrounded me that were not making me feel plentyful. This is where i started to play with raw vegan. Started "studying" holistic nutrition, and started treating all my "diseases" with a holistic nutritionist… she did not recomend being vegan nor raw vegan but something more like a paleo diet. I did it and it "worked" but still things seemed not right. By that time (2010) i had the whole picture of fruits and vegetables, but did not know how to take advantage of it in a way that it actually worked for me. I had lots of information from giveittomeraw and 30bananasaday, but couldnt get hold to the source until about a month that i bought the online book of freelie and 2 weeks ago i received the 801010 book!!. 

Till now, ive been SAD and raw vegan cold turkey on and off for the past 4 years or so, each time learning a lot from trial and error. About 2 weeks ago, i received the 811 book by. Dr. Graham… which i ordered in the past and never had the luck to get it shipped to mexico. I am so in LOVE.

I just went on a 12 day trip to Belize and read the whole book 2 TIMES… and got a little more confused on calorie intake.

This is the actual note i wrote on the last pages of the book…

-How many calories?… 10 times body weight = BMR!

-2 guidelines… multiply your ideal/desired bodyweight by 10 (plus/minus 10%)

-#1. 90.39x10=903.90kcals = 813.51 kcals min to 994.29 kcals max. BMR

-#2. 90.39x10=903.90kcals x 2 = 1.807.8 kcals ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

-#3. 90.39x10=903.90kcals

          plus 200=1,103.9kcals SEDENTARY

  plus 300-600=1,203.9-1,503.9kcals PER EXERCISE SESSION

Pretty low calorie intake right??

How i got my ideal/desired weight?? this are my stats and reference.

AGE 23

SEX female

HEIGH 1.54cm/5feet

BODY FRAME small/petite

NORMAL WEIGHT 41kgs/90.38pounds

CURRENT WEIGHT 49kgs/108pounds

Some might think that 108 pounds are healthy, and i am sure they are if they were all muscle, but as in right now, its not the case since i feel and look bulkier or swollen and i can grab folds around my arms, back and legs which i never had before 2007 with lean muscle mass, low body fat and a weight of 41kgs (checked by a nutritionist).

 As in for tomorrow, ill start and try what dr. graham recomends in his book and see how it works. Exercise wise, since its too little calorie intake, ill be doing 30 min 5mph "jog" in the morning 6 or even 7 days of the week and see how i feel.

sorry, I was kinda lost in your post but running every day might be a lot if you have not done much lately (if I understand corectly)

in your situation I would not count calories in terms of "I want to lose this much weight so I need to eat this much calories" simply because all calories are not equally excesible. I think you need to experiment to see how much you need. You will find out you eat enought when you do not binge concentrated calories. Before this I would eat 2500 plus calories burn during execise.

I think i did not got to my point since i tried to cut all the "long" story to shorter version, but its not so much as in "i want to lose all the weight", but more as in "i want to stick to the diet because it makes me feel great and keeps me going throughout the day"...

Major improvements each time i start eating Raw are very clear skin and cero constipation.

I still run 5km in less than 30min daily (6 times a week) plus 45min of weight training with both SAD and Raw diet with no major diference as in a better performance.

Ive tried going over 2,000 plus calories before and i felt very lethargic/foggy doing 1 hr of exercise plus my daily activities, stressing over calorie intake because i felt as if i needed to get to my house to stuff my face with loads of fruit so that i wouldnt freak out and that i could stick with the diet… and ive dont very low calories 800 or less and felt great during the day but had no energy to do 30min of light jogging, stressing over calorie intake because i got paranoid thinking that it was just so little food… i would wait impatiently so that hours passed faster so i could get home and eat some fruit.

Im still in that limbo where i just cant figure out what im doing wrong and its time to just stick to it and never turn back because i do feel improvements… maybe its my body that is trying to make it up to all my past or just my own mind playing old tricks so i can sabotage my helthy gains because i am very afraid to get back to feeling sick.

jajaja cuales paredes si son muy pocos que hablan español!… y se que es muy muy difícil, a pesar de que soy nutriologa en alimentación holistica, me a costado mucho trabajo comprender exactamente que necesita mi cuerpo con esta alimentacion porque literal es prueba y error y lo que les funciona a unos no les funciona a otros. 



Es que son Re-payasos en el foro, por eso no tenia cuenta aqui, cuando empezaron taba bien
luego se empezaron a poner sus moños y "politicas" mamilas. Pos ahorita tuve que pedir permiso
y casi les tengo que empeñar mi alma para que me dejaran registrar y "esperar" a que me autoricen.
hubo un tiempo en que hasta te pedian FOTO con tu NOMBRE !!!

Y pues si no sigues las reglas o piensas exactamente igual, pos te dan chicharron, jajaja ups!
no me vayan a bannear.

En fin por eso te conteste en privado, no vaya hacer la de malas, antes entraba mas seguido pero
cada vez menos, solo entro para estar al "tanto del acontecer crudivegano", en fin,  sale !
