30 Bananas a Day!

LFRV who still have weight to lose after a year or even two.

I am wondering if there are many out there who have been at this for a while and are not seeing results.  Is it possible to eat two much fat or not drink enough water or not sleep enough to hold on to pounds of body fat.  These small factors in a logical mind could not possibly cause someone to hold on to ten plus pounds of unwanted fat.  I know it feels great, but continuing to gain weight, adding cellulite and not being able to shake it seems to be the trend for many women and some men.  Can longterm ers please comment on what point in time if ever did they start to lose and become as thin as the poster children of this diet.  I am not trying to stir anything up, would really appreciate some truth, as I see many struggling.

Thanks, Amelia.  I was curious about that study as well.

Good job Myca. One of the more sensible posts I've seen here in a while. Keep up the good work!
Food addictions are no joke! They make us so crazy we blame the new, healthy diet for how awful we feel and are tempted to go back to garbage! I'm finally free of twenty years of aspartame hell, every time I tried giving up in past I would feel depressed and irritable to the extreme. I am so glad I got it out of my life, my mental clarity has improved to the point that I feel like I just woke up from a.decades long sleep!
Interesting advice and opinions from everyone but just wanted to add that the final verdict comes from yourself... YOU are the only one who knows how well you are following the lifestyle and if its not working for you it doesn't matter what any book or doctor or guru says...you might need to tweak the process to find what's right for you. I think we all know in our hearts the answer lies in some combination of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, maybe small amounts of beans and grains, rest, exercise and sunshine. The challenge is to find the right combination that works for you, doesn't matter if only one in a million need less than 2500 calories or an hour of exercise a day to thrive..who is to tell you you aren't that one in a million ? All of us on this site are already one in a million as is :p weight gain is likely in the form of water at first...hence the term "carbo HYDRATE"...got those extra water molecules going on. But if you know its fat for sure don't give up..tweak it! More greens... A steeper incline on the treadmill, whatever, do what only you know you need.
