hi guys! i'm a college student, been high carb vegan since january, now trying it raw.
stats: 5'9'' 150 lbs female 22 years old
anyways, i work out at the gym about 3 or 4 days a week, 30-40 min on eliptical/ 15 min weights. i eat 3-4000 cals a day. (a strange thing happens if i eat any less: i can't sleep and get restless)
how are the vegan gladiators looking so ripped and only eating 2500-3500 cals? these are men! i'm a girl, why am i eating more them + not as fit/ working out as hard as them?
(i always search the forum before i post a question, but sorry if this question was asked before)

Our recommendations of 2500-3000 calories a day are just a minimum to keep people from crashing and burning, cheating, and running into nutritional deficiencies. That is just for couch potatoes.
For many of our gladiators and or athletes, they eat much more. If you are athletic and eating 4k a day, that is about right for you. Some of the males might eat 5k or more.
I think DR said his record might have been 74 bananas in one day, I am assuming he was training too, and that might average out to somewhere between 5900 to 7400 calories.
Peace, PK

-Im eating at least 3000k's a day and exercising 6days out of the week (not heavily though) and I don't ever feel like Im overeating ever. I'm 5"7 and weighing in at 115 at the moment, trying to eat even more these days to have the energy to exercise more (I want more muscle)
peace
