Is juicing done or recommended on this forum? I've never juiced but have been questioned about it, so I have considered giving it a try. What are the pros and cons (I think I know many of them but may be missing some), also, what is the best juicer for the $$.
Thank you very much!! That info is what I had been taught, just needed a reminder, especially after all the juicing questions I've been getting lately.
if people you don't know are questioning you i am sure others getting them and you sharing their name could produce a culprit with an agenda;)?
all who have ask me about juicing know my health story, which I credit raw green smoothies for saving my life, well at least make life worth living. Many assume smoothies and juicing are the same.
ahh i was thinking somebody trolling for the feasters ;) this document helps http://api.ning.com/files/wxS3XzBgKscTVDtGSlSQypI3jRRULP7uxsxIpILqo... Dietary Fiber as a Carrier of Dietary Antioxidants: An Essential Physiological Function
You lost me, but thanks for the link.
I'm not a troll. :)
But about 1 year ago (before I joined 30 bananas a day), I did the 92 day juice feast. Basically you are supposed to drink a minimum of 3 quarts of green/ veggie juice per day and 1 quart of fruit juice (if your blood sugar levels are okay). I did it for 92 days! So I can say I was raw vegan for 92+ days! :)
Pros: I had loads of energy even though I wasn't getting enough calories (I lost about 20 pounds that didn't need to be lost). I definitely cleansed. Digestive issues went away. After about 35 days, there was a visible change in my eyes. They were brighter (hard to describe but they looked different when I looked in the mirror)!
I stopped needing to wear deodorant - I no longer had stinky armpits. :) I got to spread the word of health/ veggies/ etc. to random strangers when they saw me filling up my grocery cart or carrying my juice around with me.
Cons: I lost too much weight - got too skinny. I didn't heal my condition, so I still had to have surgery. :( I didn't know what to eat after I was done with the juice feast. Wanted to go raw vegan, but didn't know how. So after slowly going back to eating, I basically went back to eating my old way (vegetarian), but with more of a focus on fresh produce. Too bad I didn't know about 30 bananas a day or 80/10/10 back then. But no worries, because now I'm doing Freelee's 30 day Challenge! Yay!!
