30 Bananas a Day!

Is it really possible to stay raw for the rest of your life?

Would like to know your thoughts about this topic.

I'm following this diet from 2005. I stay raw for years, the longest I stayed raw at a time was 3 years so even though I'm eating raw most of the time I still don't do it all the time. I don't pretend that I'm raw all the time since 2005.

Is it really possible to stay raw for the rest of your life?

It's sure possible in theory but what about actual real life? Unless cooked food is not an option at all, i.e. unless cooked food is physically unavailable or you just truly belive that any cooked food like steamed potato is terribly bad - then it's pretty unlikely that you would stay raw forever.

Do you belive that there are some people who really stayed raw for 10, 20, 30+ years at a time?

It's easy to stay vegan because it's easy to make it not an option at all to eat animal products.
It's easy to not do anything as long as it's not an option at all.

I wonder if it's possible to really belive that any cooked food is not an option at all. I'd like to stay raw forever in theory - it just doesn't work in practice because cooked food is still always an option.

Steve, its a great question. I wondered the same thing...how the h*ll do I keep this up forever?!  It seems like what people are saying is the answer to your question is -- it doesn't actually matter...If you get off of it and you feel bad, you can jump back on. If not, fine...As you know, I'm new and still having some 'slips' (PK calls them sick days!) My slips were waaay freakin' worse than lentils, lol, yet I still dropped 5 lbs (needed to loose 'em) this month...If you start incorporating a cooked vegan meal into you dinners and it feels ok, its probably totally cool. I live in a similar cold climate to you (Wisconsin) and I wouldn't beat myself up at all if I had some vegi soup of some sort by choice...

Yeah, I agree.

For me it's not a problem to give up junk food or anything really unhealthy because I personally have no interest in those foods whatsoever.
The only cooked foods which are still an option for me are steamed vegetables and rice or other whole grains.

When i will live in tropical climate surrounded with the best tasting sugary fruit i think i will have no desire to eat anything else. But right now there is too much obstacles between me and 100% RAW label.
