30 Bananas a Day!

I have hypothyroidism, and when I started eating kelp/dulse/nori/etc. seaweeds a few days ago, I've had SO MUCH MORE energy, it is ridiculous! Would it be more beneficial to eat seaweed as a whole food (and get my iodine up thus) or take supplements instead? If supplements, what kind do you recommend or that have worked for you?

I realize the seaweed may be contaminated, but it's STILL a whole food. If I'm eating more healthy in general (811lfrv after all!!), I feel as though the toxins, incuding mercury, can be more easily eliminated. I also don't want to lose the benefits of eating whole foods, naturally! :D Suggestions?

That's exactly what I was thinking--plus, if my body seems to be screaming out for greens and seaweeds right now, both of which I NEVER eat usually, I think I'll listen to it. :D My energy is through the roof, even higher than just on plain 811lfrv, yeah! xP Yay!! ;P
Chlorella works for chelation. You can buy it raw.
Ah, thanks! :) This should be a great idea.
Iodine works the best for chelation.

Mercury lodges primarily in your brain, thyroid (causing hypothyroidism), and kidneys, but also everywhere else; it takes a couple of years to completely eliminate it. Drinking juice, eating vegetables alone -will not- achieve the results.

Also, Dr. Brownstein answers *all* your detox questions:

great info SW!
What do you think should be used seaweeds or the liquid supplementation (lupols?).
Looked at a lot of info you posted on the subject seems worth using it on scars as well. I think in one of your posts the fact that scars that tend to get bumpy is usually a sign of iodine deficiency and that people in Asia do not get this because of all the seaweed products they eat.
According to the vid by Dr. Brownstein most of us are likely to be iodine deficient based on his patients he also said vegans and vegetarians are more prone as well.
I understand that most seaweed now has lots of heavy metals, bromide, and pollutants in them - for this reason I avoid them and just supplement with iodine/Lugol's solution. 8 drops per day detoxes anyone. It's been around almost forever and is the tried and true method to get your iodine, the soil has been depleted!...
Thanks sunworshipper,
Makes you wonder if even fruits and veggies will be able to sustain us with all the crap that is going on. My nephew is autistic (parents think it was due to the MMR) the naturoptah is prescribing things to help detox. I will ask if they looked into Iodine to help (what do you think?)
I had *many* mercury -'amalgam'- fillings drilled out of my head about 2 years ago....I knew in my soul i had mercury poisoning - i didn't really bother to get myself tested; I just ordered the Lugol's solution off the internet and began detoxing. Have never had a skin rash or other problem mentioned by Dr. Brownstein since that time. I know it's worked for me...I think you should tell your people about it. It certainly won't hurt the body to use it. I got a five year supply for next to nothing...
Hey SW, I have been eating the seaweed instead, but stopped when a new batch suddenly started giving me thick red inflammed and volcano-like rashes all over my arms. Every time I stop they fade, but if I keep going, they increase in size. Is this caused by the iodine itself in the seaweed or by something else?
Ni, it's caused by the toxins and heavy metals that the seaweed absorbs as it grows - this is why I get my iodine supplement with Lugol's solution. I found it cheap here: http://www.jcrowsmarketplace.com/lugolssolutionofiodine.aspx

8 drops per day - no worries!
Hey SW,
Did you find a difference when you started supplementing and how long does the supplement last for at 8 drops per day?
