***UPDATES***
Thought I'd provide an update for everyone regarding my detox. It has now lasted around a month, and over this period of time I've experienced intense waves of both diarrhea and constipation, both going in 3-4 day cycles. I've also had quite a bit of bloating, pimples breaking out on my face and body odor. It's interesting as in this time I've noticed that one of my severely receded gums that was once black is healing very quickly and turning back to pink. I really have no idea what this all means.
I've also gained 10+lbs of who knows what. My definition has disappeared and I have a very bloated, flabby look. Cellulite has returned on the backs of my thighs, and I can not fit into the majority of my pants and shorts. It's a bit concerning.
I've had constant indigestion and I've decided after a long month of digestive pain and discomfort to get a colonic. I'm going to hold out for a couple more weeks, but if this constipation/diarrhea cycle continues I really have to do something about it. I'm not usually an advocate for unnatural processes like this, but I'm becoming a little desperate at this point. Only around 30-50% of my usual excreted waste is coming out on any given day. I believe that this is cause for concern.
Please, if anyone has any insight on what could be happening, or any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Nothing has changed with my food intake, exercise, sun, or sleep patterns. I'm eating mostly mono meals and plenty of fresh local produce.

Hey everyone,
Just to provide a bit of background I recently started eating overt-free for the summer. I've been eating simple fruits and veggies for 10 days now. I did this last summer and experienced a wonderful feeling of lightness and an increase in energy and endurance.
In the first few days my digestion did some cleaning and I had already started to feel the benefits. I also had a white coated tongue for the first 5-6 days. Today, however, is a different story. I woke up and drank my usual litre of water and had a banana/date smoothie. For the rest of the day I had absolutely no desire to eat which is quite rare for me. I ate a few oranges at lunch and felt full immediately. Around 4pm I decided that I should probably eat something as I would be riding my bike to my Spanish lesson. I consumed a very small green smoothie, somewhere around 400 calories worth.
I usually consume 3000 calories per day but I could barely get the food down today. Within the last hour or so I've been experiencing some pretty intense pain in the region of my large intestine. I had a two very dark and flaky bowel movements that were quite uncomfortable. I feel extremely dehydrated so I've been drinking a lot of water to help the process along. Also within the last hour I've experienced a large amount of water retention, bloating and gas. I've had a few similar experiences in the past while my digestive system was cleansing but never before with this pain. It feels very similar to the pain from my monthly flow while I was eating a SAD diet.
Has anyone else experienced this before? I feel uneasy when there's pain and I don't understand the reason for it.

Much more positive then being traumatized. I have heard that before that people have felt peaceful around death and the dying.
I was only talking about my liver as an example of connection between our organs and the brain and how it can affect each other.
The reason I responded in the beginning was that I felt that my theory about the Myelin Sheath was coming from my intuition rather then some preconceived idea or opinion. So I felt obligated to respond and I am learning to listen to the language of intuition, that is the language of the soul.
Anyway, I have said what I needed to say. What ever might be right or not.

Tarah stopped eating overt fats as was her usual routine.
A few days later Tarah started experiencing strange symptoms, including at different times, intense waves of both diarrhea and constipation, bloating (10+ pound weight gain), pimples, body odor, dry skin, cellulite, white coated tongue, dehydration (she had to increase her water intake), unusual bowel movements and pain in the digestive area.
Tarah said that she has a history of digestive problems. Others posted that they and others have experienced flare ups with symptoms similar to hers after following 811 100% for some time and with a history of digestive problems.
During this same time Tarah experienced one of her severely receded gums healing very quickly and turning back to pink and felt like she was cleaning out for the first few days.
Tarah was unable to take the time to get extra rest during this time and actually got less rest than she normally would (sleep deprived) for at least part of this detox phase which may have exacerbated and prolonged things. Ideally when someone experiences an injury, illness or stress, they need to get extra rest.
After reintroducing overt fats, (almonds still under 10% of calories) the symptoms began to disappear over the next few days.
After a few days another very strange thing happened. After some intense romantic activity ;) she immediately started having hallucinations and other symptoms. Here is what she said:
"Ryan and I went for a walk in the forest and I started to see colours and shapes pulsing. This lasted for 5 minutes or so and I had trouble walking. It was like I was seeing through Ryan while walking. Many different shapes and colours were in my vision.
I started to feel like my mind was jumbled up afterwards. I couldn't make sentences and I had trouble grasping simple concepts. This has lasted over two hours and I just started being able to talk coherently. I have a painful headache and I feel like I've taken some sort of hallucinogenic drop or something...Which of course I haven't."
I thought Brad Abrahams response was very interesting:
"Tarah what you describe is a progression of a classic migraine headache. I still suffer from these every 3-6 months. The visual disturbance is called an "aura". The big migraine triggers for me are dehydration, lack of sleep, or stress. Heavy detoxing has also caused it (after a fast). I don't think you are genetically pre-dispositioned to migraines like many sufferers, so I think it's your bodies reaction to some acute physical imbalance. I suggest lots of water, extra rest and sleep, and avoiding bright light for 24 hours or so. The aftershocks can last a day or two. Hope you feel better :)"
It seems that going overt fat free gave the body the energy and a cue to start a deep cleaning and the reintroduction of overts stopped it and that the last strange episode was due to some accumulated toxins still present from the deep cleaning. I think Tarah did fantastic sticking to her diet and health routine throughout all of this. Many people would have freaked out one way or another. ;)
I find these kinds of stories so fascinating! Thanks again Tarah for sharing and everyone else as well for their input! Gotta love 30BAD! :)

Haha.
Love it Shell! I'm willing to experience another detox in the future, trying overt free again. I'm glad it stopped, even if overt fats weren't the best idea.
Interesting that I said "Hallucinogenic drop". Didn't catch that. I may have still been slightly out of it writing that.
