I was trying to find methylcobalamin B12, but could not - ordered them from Germany just to get a reply that they do not have them now, ordered them from a friend who was in AU and coming to Serbia, she bought them and lost them... or someone took them...Never mind... so, I searched more...
Finally... my very mum told me yesterday that she as a nurse gives B12 daily! But she gives OHB12 (hydroksicobalamin). I bought this and got my first shot 2 minutes ago... I was concerned that it was not methyl, but then I found this video that says that hydroksicobalamin is the ONLY ONE TO GO WITH!!!!
What do u think guys?

Your body must be using up B12 at a very rapid rate for some other reason. You should get some other tests done.
Take care

Methyl in Australia is about 600$ where hydroxy is 15$.
If your homocysteine is under 10, thats pretty good.
If Im going to advise b12 supps, I wouldnt put money on sublinguals working. Id put 10 000$ on b12 shots raising ones b12 serum over 700 though. In Japan 550 is the minimum cut off.
hydroxy would be the way to go then. I'm gonna see if my pharmacy can order it. They only carry cyano.

in the uk its a nightmare. im taking the sublingual but im planning on going to germany to get a real blood work done and get a shot. even though i have a medical history that puts me at rick of low b12, even though when supplementing i became symptomless, then when i stopped after three weeks the symptoms returned. they won't even test me here. let alone inject me!! get me out of england! :(
like DR says, somethings better than nothing. the subB12 seams to be working, although how well, i dont know! its not ideal but right now, its the best i can do.
Permalink Reply by Adam on May 25, 2012 at 3:55am I disagree. Sublinguals are more ideal than injections. If you can't maintain health yB12 levels with a sublingual, either your product is rubbish, or there is something seriously wrong with your body. You need more functional testing in that case, because your body is using up too much B12 in some pathway. Avoiding it by megadosing with injections is just masking the symptoms.

Permalink Reply by James bananaman Bailey on May 25, 2012 at 5:50pm whilst taking the subs everything is fine. i wnated to see if anything would change if i stopped. so i did for a month...and it wasn't! started taking them agen and things leveled back out relativity quickly. more functional tests simply aren't possible. desired! but not possible. i get told to go away. my GP told me under no circumstances would they bother to even test for B12, even with my medical history. he said it wasn't necessary. in the conversation that followed it became very apparant he had no idea what B12 really was or how it was assimilated. my experience with medical care in england is ******* shocking. its a complete waste of my time and energy..and almost my life.
id be very interested to know as to why you think subs are a better way to go than injections though adam?
kind regards, james :)

about the video...he unfortunatelly does not give a thorough explanation in what way the methyl- is "rapidly reduced" in blood, is it excreted, stored or what...when he talks about the hydroxi-, he also doesn't explain how a sudden increase in blood levels isn't a problem with this form, he just continues with the advertising part...not saying he is a hoax, he just kinda left me intelectually unsatisfied :)
but setting the omnipresent skepticism aside, if your mom is giving the shots daily to many people, the ineffectiveness (or some other, nobody-wants-to-happen things) would probably have come up by now, so yes, I you should ace your next test
