30 Bananas a Day!

Sorry guys, I don't know if I can do this diet anymore. It's too much sugar. Hard to believe in any diet. I'm going back to some more salads and low glycemic fruits and foods that are just more on the lower level like oatmeal or something. Man oh man, it's been rough for me. I just wish these problems would go away, I'm in too much pain, every day I'm hoping it's not the last.

Yea, I was on cronometer and have tried, I just can't take it anymore. I really don't know what to do.
I don't think I gave the diet long of a chance, but I seriously have some real bad health problems. I'm all messed up. I'm going with some nice oatmeal and salads. I'm not gonna go crazy on the high sugar stuff. Slow carbs that will just hit my system smoothly.
This diet probably works for many, I had these problems before the diet, I just don't feel right with this much sugar.

More info? What are eating daily?? Cal intake ? Water ?

I'll eat about a 5 lb watermelon around 1k cal, or a banana date shake and add strawberry, blueberry around 800 cal., then I'll eat like 15-20 oranges/clementines around 5-700 cal., then a big salad of about 3-400 cal with 2 heads romaine, cucumer, and other veggies.

Totaling around 2.7K-3K a day.

Drink water 1/2 body weight in oz., about 3/4 a gallon a day. I'll drink about 2 cups when waking, and then another 2 cups before every meal and then another 2 cups before sleeping.

I had these problems before, so I can't really blame the diet. It would be hard for me to think about cooked food and there's no way I'm going back to meat. I'm just all messed up right now and just eating something more basic might make me feel more at ease.

I'm thinking low fat, low glycemic fruits, a lot of salad, and protein from (peas, beans, rice, oats).
Low carb, low sugar, low fat, good amount of protein and good nutrients.

This doesn't make sense. Firstly, peas, beans, rice, oats are high carb. And low carb, low fat and high protein in combination does not make a proper sustainable diet in any way.

But you could certainly try lower glycemic fruits and blend greens with fruit. Watermelon and dates are definitely on the higher end of glycemic index.

Thanks for the heads up on the high GI foods. Yea, what I meant is the grains come seem to slowly get absorbed to where when I eat it I don't get rock slammed in an attack. What I meant was the ratio for beans and oats and stuff. Like they've got protein in it compared to other foods. Not saying I'm all into high protein, but it keeps me more comfortable knowing I have a good amount.

Hiya, just to let you know, buckwheat and quinoa are great grain alternatives and have much better nutritional values, they both have a complete set of essential amino acids.

You cook them both like rice; boil, simmer, reduce and they taste great.

They are both seeds, not grains like they are often mistaken for. Quinoa originates from Peru, where the Aztecs noticed improved strength and stamina from those who consumed it and fed it to their army. Unfortunately it didn't help against the Spanish or smallpox.

As mentioned you should probably try other fruits than watermelon. And I would suggest not blending bananas and dates if you think the problem is that it's high-glycemic. I have similiar symptoms as you do where I feel it in my neck and shoulder region when i eat too fast. And with some fruits like dates, grapes and melons it can easily go further than that and be like a heartburn but more from the liver area. This is probably the same thing as melon belly. I have a discussion on my page and in this discussion http://www.30bananasaday.com/forum/topics/upper-stomach-ache-and-ba...    Chromium is spoken of as a possible supplement. I really think this worked for me and made me able to eat a little more fruit at a time. Eating my bananas early in the day and then going for apples, citrus and so on later also works better for me. Should also mention that I'm grazing troughout the whole day.

Nice! Going on a grape juice fast was recommended, but sounded a bit scary. I've been diluting my juices even veggies about 5/1 water/juice.

Funny you mention Chromium! The docs think I have Pheochromocytoma and one was saying that I was lacking Chromium.

Thanks Ollie!

Yeah that's good all the little tricks are needed and really makes a lot of difference!

Ok Chromium picolinate was recommended in that thread.

A strange thing I found was that it can help me mixing fruits. I make a smoothie with orange and dates with about 3 oranges to 100g dates with a lot of water. Works better for me than just dates and would ofcourse lower the total glycemic index. DR recently made a video where he mixes banana and grape juice, this is a little harder for me but still I could not drink the grape juice alone. Might be something to try out if making smoothies..

I'm a beginner but my capacity is slowly rising. I guess it gets better and better the more we detox and the cleaner our organs get and the more active they become.

Well good luck to you

Thanks man
