30 Bananas a Day!

I healed my anorexia and bulimia through a LFRV lifestyle..Part 1.

My journey through anorexia…

I have been exposed to people with anorexia from a very early age, I was about 10 years old when I first learnt what it was from a TV program. I was intrigued, saddened and inspired all at once. I had a good friend in high school who looked like a walking coat hanger. She was so frail and pedantic but I secretly wanted to be her. Once when she came over my place, she accidentally left a little note book which contained her meagre calorie count for the day. I remember it totalled about 500 calories. I later found out how serious her illness was when she was admitted to a “special” hospital.

My personal experience with anorexia came not too long after this. I had always been very concerned about what I looked like and what others thought about me, so much so that I would avoid many social engagements because I thought I was too fat (I was about 65kgs, quite muscular 5’6”, although this number fluctuated a lot). That was until I met my first real boyfriend when I was 17, I’ll call him John....Continue....

Part 2 now up...

you're a sweetie! Thank you :-) sending a big warm hug your way SpeksX

Helli, yes I'm writing one now, it's got my old diary entries from when I first started on raw. I'm going to go through everyday and point out where I went wrong.
That rocks spek! When's your book coming out? ;P

Freelee did you say you were coming out with a book too?
ugh my book lol i keep writing little bits here and there, you reminded me i must get onto it i think :) thanks girl!

Yep, those stupid voices, nice post, awesome man!
thank you so much Carl :-) A happy ending indeed, one possible for all I'm confident.
Like many people said before : thank you Freelee for sharing your storie! You're such an inspiration. Your blog has helped soo much. Everytime I got back to my ''anorexic mentality'' where I wanted to take fat burners or eat less bla bla bla just to lose a little more weight and then keep the weight off with lfrv, I tough of your storie and how eating lfrv got you out of the ''fat burner, protein shake... vicious circle''. If it wasn't for you sharing your storie, I don't think I would have cured my self with lfrv. (sorry 4 any mistakes, I speak french)
Wow fruitalicious what a great testimonial :) Thank you so much for sharing. I'm so glad my blog is touching people's lives in such a positive way, this is awesome to hear. I really thought those fat burners were the way to permanent fat loss, boy was I confused...
No sorry needed, i understand perfectly, thanks for dropping in X
So amazing, Freelee. You're so cool. This is so awesome of you to share this, and it's really inspiring to me and to many others, I'm sure. It's so hard to be healthy, either mentally or physically, on SAD food, isn't it? But even once we find this way of eating, it still takes a while to shake off the old mentality. Sharing your experiences is so helpful to so many people - thanks for putting yourself out there and doing all you do.
Thanks heaps SFL :) yes I agree totally it is so hard (if not impossible) to be mentally & physically balanced on a SAD diet. I'm so grateful for finding this lifestyle!

Thanks Megs you are so sweet, I'm getting more and more "me" the further I go down this path X
Awesome Moth :) I am so glad my post has assisted you, all the feedback really motivates me to explore the power of a LFRV lifestyle when it comes to ED. Currently compiling a survey regarding this.
Thank you for sharing your own struggles, it really does get better Moth, we really just need to be vigilant when it comes to meeting our basic needs consistently. It doesn't happen overnight, but it does happen X
