omg so....for memorial day my mom decides to have a family cook-out at our house.
and she see that i have all this fruit that she can use some as appetizer!!!
soo she cuts up all my fruit into fruit salads.
then my family see a counter full of banana and thinks their appetizers to, and eat on them all day. then keeps asking "what are all the bananas for?" me "i eat them about 15 or 10 in a day" them "what!!!! that's not healthy"
oh then as everyone left they took a couple of bananas for their house !!
and to top it off my family give me a intervention and some cried ! they said i was killing my self by eating too much raw fruit and vegetables. and that eating 30 bananas a day was going to kill me!! and most of all "tavia!! wheres your protein!"
oh and everyone that was giving me the intervention is on blood presser pills has high cholesterol, and sugar diabetes.
lol no!!!! family i love you deeply with all my hart!! but your killing me because you just eat-up as snacks a weeks worth of my food!! thank god for my emergency food of a box of dates!!
Happy memorial day !!!
I guess the good part is they ate some fruit. :-) What a bummer to be low on food on a holiday. Maybe it's not the same where you live, but here stores close.
lol thats never happened to me before but when i am eating/drinking people always want to taste what ive got and then they come back for more when they realise how tasty my food is, especially dateorade =)
Oh crap, not again, it's an intervention
It's cool, I'm fine, I'm so healthy all the time~
If someone ate all my fruit, I'd rage so hard I'd burn all their pizzas and cook all their pasta... at the very least.
So, this is your family, the people you have known all your life and this surprised you???? Sounds like you set yourself up my dear.
This is one of several reasons that my bananas live under my bed in a box. When they started crying I don't know how you didn't laugh yourself hoarse..
Ahahaha!! I'd laugh, too... it's what you have to do in this situation, it seems. =)
By now, my relatives knows about my "special food." They leave it alone as they mutter, "poor thing, it's all she has to eat!" In actuality, I get far more diversity in my food than they do with their curd, rice, broth, and chicken.
Unfortunately I'm not good at sharing my food. It's a weakness of mine. My husband has learned that saying, "that looks like some really good mango you're having," won't get him mango. Now he'll say, "give me some of that, too!" I'll point to the kitchen and say how there's plenty for him to chop and peel in the basket.
Hah! That is the way my wife is as well. She always wants what I have prepared. We can have ten pounds of strawberries but she wants what I have.
THIS!! People really can't fathom entire meals from large heapings of fruit. It's as if they think the intake should be limited to those tiny little dessert bowls or something.
I'll show up at a lunch (I'm in a country where it's kinda rude to show up with your own food) and they'll say, "oh, we heard you only eat fruits and vegetables--here you go!" and it's the tiniest little serving ever. I'll of course gush my thanks that they've thought of me at all (which is true: I am very grateful). Then I'll think of what I'll be preparing when I get home, but yeah. No concept of quantity.
Really? My family actually loves that I'm a raw vegan!
I'm sure oneday they'll see your light. :)
well it was good they had sum fruit for now on my reply to their complaints is"well all my life you been telling me to eat my fruit and veggies! :)
I was told recently that eating so many bananas causes a heart attack. From a nurse! The insanity.
lol! I was told by my teacher that bananas are the hardest thing to digest..... haha!
oh and to tavia, to make sure that doesn't happen again... store your fruit in your room, away from your family. my dad would eat all my nana's if i didn't!
