I came across this site today while doing some searching:
http://naturalhygienesociety.org/diet3.html#4
We are bringing up our 1 year old as a vegan (mostly raw fruit but with cooked vegetables as well at this point and unvaccinated) and I am actually a little scared after reading through the site.
Now please understand that I love the LFRV lifestyle and even though I am not 100% raw I fully believe it is the best way to go for myself. But I would be devastated if I was doing harm to my baby.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I am rattled..
Thanks

that link is to a silly group who don't understand natural hygiene and/or are in denial.
anyone can get a domain name and call themselves whatever.
the net is full of this nonsense.
take a look at this for instance:
you'll see it has very little to do with animal rights.
it's just a front as is naturalhygienesociety.org
if you want some serious peer reviewed info on veg, you can look here:
also, www.vegsource.com has lots of info about kids.
here are a couple of examples by attwood:
http://www.vegsource.com/attwood/vegkid.htm
http://www.vegsource.com/attwood/children.htm
(you can find plenty more as well as specific lfrv advise right here)
the most certain way to do harm to one's children is to bring them up non-veg.
you set them up as a doormat for the medical profession to wipe their feet on.
in friendship,
prad

Great points just like the humanewatch BS.
Dave,
when you do what is right how can it be wrong.
Stop reading the national enquirer sites. ;-)
Take Care,

That's a clue right there something bigtime is wrong. Most likely, not enough calories. Just more examples of people who can't do raw right, then complain.
