Permalink Reply by Trevor Gates on September 10, 2012 at 5:40pm Regular drug store H2O2 is contaminated by heavy metals and should not be used for anything..
"food grade" H2O2 (find online or at health food store) is OK but should be diluted to .5% before using for oral rinse. It is normally sold in 6% or 35% concentrations.
Note: If you have amalgam fillings or crowns you should not use H2O2 because it will leach mercury and other metals out of your fillings and into your body..
Also undiluted H2O2 is VERY dangerous and can burn holes in your skin, kill you, or make you go blind..
Happy brushing :)

Permalink Reply by ednshell on September 11, 2012 at 5:24am also wondering if it will leach other materials out of teeth such as the barium or plastics that are in some of the tooth colored fillings and even the "safe" "bio-compatable" fillings.

Permalink Reply by Trevor Gates on September 11, 2012 at 5:20am Yes.. That works good. I used to do that for years and it worked great. Now I use Turmeric powder though. It is good in many ways and is more natural..

Permalink Reply by Jonathan Ponder on October 17, 2012 at 8:44am The article is somewhere on my fb, and I'm not sure it's appropriate for 30bad. It talks about cannabis.
Permalink Reply by Peter Csere on September 11, 2012 at 5:34am If you're going to use anything, use diluted baking soda. Nothing harsher, and certainly no toxic plants like mints and turmeric which contain toxic, irritating alkaloids and other substances that should not come in contact with the body.
H202 can be a little harsh. It's not exactly a man-made chemical, nor is baking soda - i.e. it exists in nature, but we do "make" it and put it into a bottle or package.
Permalink Reply by Jonathan Ponder on October 17, 2012 at 8:44am I thought turmeric was great for us.
