Everything I found about the Vegan Lifestyle is that everyone does it to lose weight. Well, my problem is that I need to GAIN weight.
I probably weigh around ~58 kilos.
Height- 183 cm/6 feet.
Exercise daily, 50 - 70 km a week, barefoot runner.
Anything over weight gain would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I would recommend reading all things Chris Califano and go from there!
Hi Bryan, I gained about a stone in weight and took my BMI from officially underweight to well within the normal range at 21.5, all within the space of my first month as a fruitarian. All I did was consistently eat 3000+ calories every day from fruit. This is the first time I have ever been a normal weight in my life!
You are taller than me, and probably run more than I do, so you'll want to eat more, but just consistently eat till you are satisfied, drink plenty of water and get your sleep. It'll happen!
If you want to gain extra muscle then you might want to work out ( what Rhyno says!), but it seems the fruit based diet normalises your weight to where it should be pretty effortlessly!
Eat as much fruit as you can. And consider backing off the running. You don't see any big runners out there... they're all lean for a reason. If you're running 10km per day, you're gonna be lean and stay lean. If you wanna put on weight, drop the cardio down a good deal and introduce some work with weights.
If you're packing in the calories and working with heavy weights, you'll start to put on the kilos.
Thanks for all the feedback!
lol why do you want to gain weight if you're a runner??
Stop running and start pumping the iron if you want to put up some muscles!
My coach said i was "too skinny". But I feel great and full with fruits.
If you're eating right, the weight you have might actually be natural for you. Take good care of your self :)
