I was watching videos on youtube from Duranrider and freelee and she said she drank/ate:
1 litre water when she woke up
2 litres orange juice for breakfast
15 bananas for lunch
15 bananas for dinner
She drinks 3 litres of water a day ( or at least the day she was talking about)
What I want to know is how can one not get full from all those bananas I get full from like 5. How can I make room for more? And doesn'n it get boring eating all those bananas every day?
How do you guys eat the bananas? Like they are? Smoothie? what?
And after a workout I have heard it is best with a green smoothie or green juice from Yuri Elkaims advices.
Sweet :D I will drop by Rema next time and try and get a case of them! Thank you for the tip!
To me the name "30 banana's a day" is more of a reference to a way of eating or even an idiom. While you could eat 30 banana's a day you could also eat 30 different fruits and vegetables a day or week and have relativity the same lifestyle and dietary results.
If you can't even handle even two banana's a day don't worry about it. Eat all the fruits and vegetables you crave. Just don't go nuts on the higher fat stuff like avocados.
Personally I eat about 15-30+ different types of fruits and vegetables a day as it's a treat to have a variety. I can't wait until pomegranates are in season. Yesterday I did 30+ miles so I ate nectarines, peaches, cherries, turkish figs (1.5k calories of them), plums, grapefruit, bananas, spinach (2.5 pounds), kale, tomato's, grapes, strawberries, ginger, parsley, cilantro, carrot juice, Hawaiian spirulina, chlorella, green peas, watermelon, champagne grapes, plantain bananas, celery, dates, clementines, an avocado, mango, pineapple, papaya, coconut milk and coconut. I know I forgot several things.
Turkish figs are even better picked straight from the tree!! I will always remember my first fig, September 9 2012 whilst I was on a Jeep Safari in Dalyan, Muğla. Delicious!! :) <3
I used to do smoothies but i gave them up as i found eating whole fruits much more palateable. One thing fundamental for me was making sure i bought organic. After a while you can switch off and just eat banana after banana but make sure you chew thoroughly before swallowing, not that i've ever done 30 (18 max so far).
I put 7-8 bananas in my smoothies with berries, or peaches or something and greens, and have 1 or 2 smoothies per day. If I'm at someone's house for a meal I'll peel 7-8 bananas on a plate and garnish with red grapes. I've eaten 10 at a time and think I could regularly if I I wanted, it just takes some getting used to, your stomach will adjust. I'm more of a grazer though and eat smaller meals than Freelee but with fruit/snacks in between.
You can start with smaller, more frequent meals if that's what feels good, and build up your banana intake that way.
I think in general I would rather eat more whole bananas but with smoothies I get all my greens in, otherwise it's a challenge for me.
Practice makes perfect ;)
Seriously, though... When I first started I couldn't eat more than 3 bananas without feeling full and/or guilty (VERY restrictive past).
Now I eat 10 in one meal without a problem.
Your stomach is like any muscle; it will perform better the more you use it.
So cram in those nanners!
And about the boredom thing; change up your fruit! There are millions, if not billions, of fruit species out there! You're not limited to just bananas. :D
eat more banana then you think you can . then a funny thing happens. then you want more banana . started with 3-5 at a meal . now up to 12. today had 11 for breakfast . lunch having 8 banana with 6 dates . tonight oranges and salad . to me the banana is the key to this game . eat more and you want more never tire of them..d
When I saw the headline "How to eat 30 bananas every day?", my reflexive response was "one bite at a time."
Thank you everyone for replying, I read your posts even though I dont reply to all of them, I'm afraid to spam the live feed lol :P
But yeah, I'll try to adapt my stomach to the bananas!
I'm on my second day of banana island and today was a lot harder to get them down then yesterday. After my last smoothie I felt really sick of bananas! I usually do 10 banana smoothies, I find smoothies are easy for me to eat. I feel sick when I just eat a bunch at time the normal way.
I still need 10 more to hit my goal of 30 but I might not make that today lol. I also still have a lingering headache from yesterday. Detox maybe?
Interesting that he kept taking drinks of (presumably) water. Maybe to make them go down faster?
