7 $ for five small bananas in Port Hedland, quite deer... I went back to not organic, I couldn't afford the organic...

In Panama it's $0.79 per kilo for Organic Bananas! If you buy wholesale it's cheaper. That's if you buy at the Supermarket.

At the Farmers' Market, you can buy racks of different varieties of bananas with up to sometimes hundreds of bananas each for as little as 1, 2 or 3 dollars.

I got 40kg of organic bananas for only 20€ a few weeks ago! :) They already had brown spots so they wanted to get rid of them. I went on banana island for 2 weeks with those :)

I got 20 kg of  mostly organic bananas for two us dollars. I usually find deals like this every week, you just have to learn where to look.

ola, may i ask exactly where and how you bought those bananas?

I found them in Malmö, Sweden  in a fruitshop  I know i few shops how sell out brown bananas and other really ripe fruit on special price. although this was extremly cheap. ask your fruitsupplier for overripe=ripe fruit and often they can give you them for free because you are regular customer.

usually about 1-2 dollars a kilo.

I asked my fruitdealer if he can bring me a box of organic Bananas every week so I get 18kg for about 20euro. As its not enough for me usually I buy some at the turkish market in Berlin. There they are even cheaper depending how ripe they are.

We get them at Trader Joe's:  .23 a banana, so depending on the banana size, we pay between .69 to .92/lb for Organic.  One can buy conventional bananas at .19 a banana if desperate for ripe nanners.

This is the Seattle area of Washington State. The price is the same in all the Trader Joe's in the U.S., regardless of location.  It's been the same price for at least 6 years.

Organic and Fair Trade $32-39 for 40lbs. Damn the U.S. must be raping the economy (once again) of some developing country to get our bananas so cheap. Ahhhh! The various emotions one has over a system that is down right wrong, yet creates a product that is so great! You know what I say....time to organize the banana farmers/importers!

99 cents a bag (each bag has around 10) in the discounted section. If I can't get any discounted ones I usually pay around 89 cents a pound for organic bananas.

$.97 - $1.19 Canadian per lb
