£1.16 per kg delivered by the 16 kg box.
Make sure when you talk to them you talk ORGANIC as they also supply non-organic despite the name. When I spoke to the man who delivered they also go to all the BIG markets, Birmingham, London, Manchester and would deliver a box there (speak to them)
You would probably have to order in advance as their idea of ripe and mine are about 1 and a 1/2 weeks out :)
The boxes were 16 kg Organic (and labelled for Tescos! so probably not biodynamic)

Lack of money has forced me to buy the next box from Tesco themselves (non-organic) so I hope I haven't been spoiled too much!
Update: Apparently, the market for organic bananas is shrinking and is moving to specialists (see a considerable price increases coming guys and gals) Pratts supply Tescos, btw.
Sadly, Pratts are only going to be able to provide me with bananas for another 6 weeks.
None of the importers are playing and neither are the very rude local wholesalers.
I'm gutted :(
What is it you have heard? What do you mean by "none of the importers are playing"?
What would make sense is global banana shortage finally affecting the UK market as well.
No, nothing so time reedeemable.
My local supplier (ripener) who will deal with me on a box basis, is stopping ripening organic bananas for Tesco and all others. They are leaving the supply of organic bananas to 'specialists' but can't tell me the names of any 'specialists' to contact.
The market for organic bananas at the major supermarkets they supply seems to be shrinking and hence their market (they package them)
Then, I can see the prices rising for me personally (more expensive nanas because of travel and new supplier prices) and the price always goes up when a market shrinks to fewer suppliers.
Uk seems less affected by worldwide nana shortage. We were second to Germany in consumption of organic ones.
That sounds really weird.
How much were you paying per kg? Mine are £1.31 at the moment.
