I am trying to eat enough calories to gain weight and if I include dates I can! but I just can't believe they have 66 calories each is this really true?

The other day I went date shopping and found two brands, side by side, one was advertising 200 calories for 100 g and the other one close to 350 calories for 100 g... At the end of the day I am not sure how much is it and not sure I am eating enough when relying on dates to get enough calories in a day...
I am just going to say they have 30 calories "for fun" that way I have to eat more of them.

The pits are really negligible if you eat a large meal (they might account for the weight of one date). I've found that most of the dates I get are about 45-50 calories each.
