I got acne when I started eating 80/10/10 and it didn't really get better for maybe five or six months (I've been 80/10/10 for 8 1/2 months) My skin still isn't perfect, but it's pretty clear, and way softer then ever before. Before I had pretty clear skin also. It's probably about the same as it used to be now, but I think it will keep getting better. I've had a fair amount of slip ups on cooked food over the last 8 months and when I eat cooked food my skin always looks better, but then get worse a couple days after the slip ups once I've gone back to eating only lfrv foods. Probably my body detoxing? So your skin might get better faster if you stay 100%. The only option I know of it to wait it out.... maybe try and drink lots of water and keep your face/hair extra clean for now, I always get more acne when my hair is greasy! Oh, and it sounds like you are eating good stuff to me. I love eating this way! I hope you are able to stick it out through the bad skin!
I believe is what people call here one of detox effects.
But once you body began lower your level of fat because you will be eating low fat diet, and also at cellular level, you will be able to process all that fructose, without the interference of all your fat stored in your cells, that maybe is causing all the inflammation.
So I believe, is a matter of patience, you do not lose all your fat a cellular level in few weeks, but it's a matter of months.
Sounds to me like your body may be pushing out all the stored toxins you've been acumulating over the years. After all, the skin is the biggest organ of the body. One good thing though, as long as your not continually eating junk food or pore clogging cooked foods, I would think it should clear up soon. I don't think one particular thing you are eating is causing the acne. The raw diet in general is really good at detoxing and getting rid of stored junk in your body. Just think ... better out than in, right? I mean, the diet you listed should not cause acne so that junk is coming from somewhere.
I've started the raw diet a few times and each time I had a little breakout but not too much and it cleared up really quickly.
A deep cleaning pore cleanser may help while you detox and I recommend getting the sun daily since the UV rays will help kill any bacteria in your pores and hopefully prevent any acne outbreaks for you. :o)
I'm not sure about the sunblock. I'm not an advocate of it anyway but even though I have none I understand about the tattoo thing. I just thought I something else that might help. A diluted mixture of apple cider vinegar and water facial spray. The ACV breaks down the oil and distributes it. When I went "no poo" all I used was a hair rinse of ACV and water. I can't think of the ratio right now but I'll post it later when I get home and find it.
The recipe for the hair rinse is a solution of one to two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) per cup of water. I got it from this site Info : Shampoo Free
The rinse works pretty good on hair and it also is great for your skin too. This is what the site says about how ACV works:

So the fact that it dissolves fatty acids will help dissolve clogged pores and it's antiseptic quality should help prevent acne too.
