I for one have been following the 811 diet, and haven't had any problems with it, except for positive. However, I know of others who have suffered with Candida on the 811 lifestyle....it's not to say everyone is going to have these problems arise. But you should admit that if Candida/yeast wasn't an issue, it wouldn't be talked about so often.

It gets talked about so much because the typical raw diet does promote imbalance and higher fats than the SAD
Permalink Reply by Whitedi ellen on June 14, 2012 at 8:04pm That's interesting....you said "the typical raw diet does promote imbalance and higher fats....than the SAD." hmmmm....I'm sure that doesn't sound much like a promotion for the 811 lifestyle. Most folks want balance and lower fats overall. but idk....maybe you were a little distracted by the "sneaking of the oils and processed sugars" ha ha... any which way Sunshine I guess you would of had to of been there. From my understanding it was the sugars in the fruits that were influencing the promotion of candida, not the cause of candida. Only because these individuals had an imbalance of their good and bad bacteria. In other words they would have been perfectly fine consuming lots of fruits. But something went wrong with their natural flora. Probably overload of antibiotics or birth control or hormonal changes. This can contribute to an overgrowth of candida. This is where the trouble comes in. Now what you consume will effect how well the candida thrives. So for those of us with good imune systems and a good balance of good and bad bacteria, we can eat fruit to our delight.
