30 Bananas a Day!

hi everyone! just joined a day or so ago. i haven't read the 80 10 10 book yet. but i was out for 4 hours today, driving around to a couple different book stores in hopes of finding it. i couldn't find it so i guess i'll have to order it. anyway, i'm not totally new to raw eating. but i somehow fell off the wagon a few years ago. i have about 5 books on eating raw with recipes. i never made any of the recipes in the past....just ate raw whole foods and green smoothies. my husband is interested in me learning to make some of these recipes. i am interested to learn, but some of the ingredients i haven't even heard of and i have no idea where to get them! hubby and i just finished watching Food Inc on netflix and wow! amazing! i look forward to learning alot from everyone here. oh, i guess it's good for me to mention that i have had an ED since i was a teen. nothing too severe.....it's not like i got down to below 100 lbs. i'm 5'4" and weigh 110 now. but i usually restrict my cals quite a bit to lose weight. i know that's bad for my body and i want to treat my body better than that. my husband is interested in changing too.....but he isn't ready to give meat up completely yet. although i think after he saw Food Inc it helps him to begin to want to change. i think the reason i didn't stick to the raw eating in the past is cuz for one thing......i kinda fell off the wagon without quite realizing it somehow. i don't want that to happen again! ever! and also, i feel kinda stressed about providing a variety of raw foods for my family (a husband and a 13 year old son with Downs). if it were just me, i could just eat raw whole foods and smoothies and not get bored. but hubby needs "food entertainment"....lol. and i need to learn how to help him. he was recently diagnosed with Sclerederma and i'm also hoping that a change in his diet will help his health.
