Hey yo. I have a difficult time following a raw diet without also developing a contracted mental state that comes from thinking about what I can and cannot eat, what I should and shouldn't do. How can I keep my mind clear and easy while also doing my body a solid by following this diet? Any tips?
Thank you so much!!

( Also - I've benefitted from your advice on other threads as well - thanks ! )
But ya - what do you think ? I think 200$ for a great blender is a kind of key tool on this lifestyle. At first, given that most people think that blenders should cost $40, I couldn't see my way clear, but it does somehow make a huge difference. A great quality blender just makes it so easy to get the calories in.

Yeah totally, a decent blender really does make a big difference! My smoothies are like going out to a sandwich shop or coffee place now, so I get a lot of Buy-in for those from my wife and daughter and other people who come over. It's a great "diet-evangelism" tool!
When the guy Who owns the farm got out of the hospital after a cardiac event, I brought him a big jug of smoothie for breakfast every morning and a yummy cooked vegan dinner for about 2 weeks, he loved it! He also got back on his feet really fast for a 70-something having had a pacemaker implanted, then having to have his chest cavity emptied of blood and fluid twice (they nicked something during the procedure) AND THEN getting a MRSA infection they had to carpet bomb him with antibiotics for! Now he is definitely capital S stubborn, but he was out of the house gingerly in a week and up and around driving (against his doctor's advice) two after all that!

Permalink Reply by Chris P. on July 9, 2012 at 8:58am Yeah, it's pretty expensive to live here though. I put in 6-8 hours a day, 6 days a week. :) Worth it though I think. it's a fantastic school district for my daughter and very pretty here.
